Bradley 2021-22 schedule

Dave Reynolds tweeted that BU @ Missouri is set for Tuesday Dec 22!

I had heard that was the one game that was holding up the schedule release. So maybe we will see the entire non-conference schedule soon.

Here is what is known-
No preseason exhibition games
Nov. 25, 26, & 27- 3-day, 3-game event at Xavier University in Cincinnati- Bradley will play Xavier, Toledo, & Oakland
Previous scheduled home games against St. Joseph's, Jackson State, Miami, and South Dakota State will be played- dates to be determined
One additional home game will be added, likely a non-division I team- to be announced soon.
The previously scheduled road game at Toledo that was scheduled for Nov. 14, will not be played, and will be moved to the 2021-22 season
The previously scheduled one-time "buy game" game at Missouri for Nov. 29 is now scheduled for Tuesday, December 22
The road game at Tulsa, scheduled for Dec 2 as part of a home and home series has been cancelled, as has the return game in 2021-22.
Then Bradley will play their MVC scheduled 18 games starting with a home game Dec. 31, 2020 against SIU.

If this all comes together, it will give Bradley:
3 neutral-court tournament games at Xavier (Xavier, Toledo, and Oakland)
5 non-conference home games (St. Joseph's, Jackson State, Miami, and South Dakota State and one to be determined)
1 road game at Missouri on Tues. Dec. 22
And an the 18-game MVC schedule for a total of 27 regular season games.
The NCAA allows for a maximum of 27 games.

Bradley will play the following schedule at the Xavier Invitational-
11/25- vs.Toledo - Time- to follow Noon (ET) game- approximately 1:30 pm Central Time
11/26- vs. Xavier - Time- Noon (ET), 11 am CT
11/27- vs. Oakland - Time- to follow Noon (ET) game- approximately 1:30 pm Central Time

Coach - any idea if tickets are or will be available for this?

All I have found out so far is that Xavier is selling season tickets, but they do not intend to sell individual game tickets. And they have not yet made any decision or announcement regarding whether fans will be allowed at the games Nov. 25, 26, and 27 (or any of their home games). That likely means that if they do allow fans, it will be a small number of fans, and they will come from the pool of people who bought season tickets.
In an ordinary season, Bradley would be allocated a few tickets, but I am not sure that will happen this year.
And there is a chance that if some season ticket buyers do get tickets to these games, they might re-sell them on sites like StubHub.
There are no tickets there now, but there might be later.

Here are a couple clips from an article regarding the question of fan attendance at Xavier home games.
These are from a virtual press conference for the Big East Media Day event on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
This article also includes the Big East preseason poll in which Xavier was picked 7th
https://www.cincinnati.com/story/spo...ms/6038337002/

This first one refers to remarks made by Big East Commissioner Val Ackerman:
One of the other heavily discussed topics is whether Xavier will be able to have fans in attendance at Cintas Center this season.
In her opening remarks, Ackerman said fan attendance will be decided on state-by-state jurisdictions. The Big East won't implement a conference policy prohibiting fans, so it will be a decision left to each school and the local government.

This is a quote from Xavier Head Coach Travis Steele:
"Fans, we're trying to figure it out," Steele said. "We have to work with the health board here in the city of Cincinnati. We've got to do it in a safe manner. We'd obviously love to have a packed house and have that advantage that we'd normally have on our home court, but this year it is what it is. We don't know the exact number yet, but it's not gonna be a lot, I know that. We're gonna try to do as many fans as we can in a safe manner."

Thanks 64NIT.

Under the circumstances a pretty good schedule - obviously Judson is kind of a let down after the Xavier games but overall a good schedule.

I'm speculating but, Judson may have been a replacement for a school that backed out at the last minute. Not sure if BW has ever scheduled a NAIA school during his tenure at Bradley.

So far, no official announcement has been made about TV or streaming for the games. However, other than games that are on the MVC-TV Network, or which are picked up by national networks, one possibility, and maybe the most likely option for the MVC teams might be the ESPN streaming networks, either ESPN3 or ESPN+ (subscription), as they have for the last several years.

The only real surprise on the schedule is the Judson game. We knew there was going to be a non-Division I team, but we just didn't know who.
Judson University is an NAIA school located in Elgin, Illinois. Total enrollment is about 1,280.
They are members of the 15-team Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC).

The Eagles were 7-23 last season and 6-16 in the CCAC, and they finished tied for 11th place. They are lead by a new head coach, Bruce Fields, who was promoted from assistant coach in April, when the previous head coach left to take another job-
