Anthony Beane Sr. confirms he has applied for the open SEMO job. He was an assistant there under Gary Garner from 1997-2000.

And SIUE has hired California assistant Jon Harris. Harris, who is an Edwardsville native, was an assistant at Wisconsin-Green Bay under Tod Kowalczyk, at the same time Brian Wardle was an assistant there, and he played at Marquette with Wardle (he graduated 1 year behind Brian Wardle).

I'm shocked anyone would offer Geno a HC job after the way her performed at BU, but I'll tell ya what, how interesting would it be to see him back in the MAC? I'd love to see how he performs without Glasser over him, and especially how he performs against the guy who replaced him at Kent State, who has been doing a heck of a job, btw!

Greg Gard's name being mentioned for the Bowling Green spot...

this is about the 25th time I have seen Gard's name mentioned in conjunction with an opening - mostly smaller midmajors and low majors like Green Bay, Bowling Green, NIU, Ohio, etc...and he ends up turning them all down.
But the guy is a valuable assistant at a top Big Ten program and almost certainly is making $300K+ per year - yet he keeps getting named as potenatial for spots that pay less.
 
ASU reportedly was hot after Jeff Capel. Duke Asst. He apparently had expressed some interest, but removed himself from consideration yesterday.

Now top two names are Steve Lavin and Bobby Hurley.
 
Evansville Head Coach Marty Simmons is looking to fill 2 assistant coaching spots. Among those being considered are former Bradley assistant Lennox Forrester (who was also previously an assistant at Evanville), and former ISU assistant coach Doug Novsek (who played at SIU and was a teammate of Marty in high school).

Lennox Forrester is hired as an assistant at Evansville by Marty Simmons.
