UNI lands a commitment from Tate McCubbin, a 6'8" sophomore guard from Austin Peay University. He averaged 9.7 ppg and 4.8 rpg ion 2025-26. In his freshman season (2024-25) he was the Freshman of the Year in the ASUN Conference.

Belmont's talented big man Brigham Rogers, goes in the portal and commits to MURRAY STATE...

word had it that Murray State had a whole lot more NIL money than Belmont, so Rogers is prob getting a nice raise.
Odd how many portal transfers are more or less lateral within the Valley!

I liked Brigham Rogers, a typical big-bodied, below-the-rim player for Belmont. I always thought he should have been playing more at Belmont and might have been a type of big man that could be good with Bradley. He got stuck playing behind Scharnowski and Orme with Casey Alexander, who seemed to prefer to always play with at least 3 guards on the floor. Alexander also seemed to prefer his big men be able to play outside and hit threes. Rogers didn't attempt a three last season, but he lead the MVC in FG% with an impressive FG% of 72.5%. He's a pretty good replacement for Fred King for Murray State, for one year, but his big weakness is his sub-50% career free throw percentage.

per above...Murray State's coach Ryan Miller is playing a cherry-picking numbers game that I can play, too!

Watch this...

Trevon Payton shot 47.1% from 3-point last year, and among the 5,300 DI players, that ranks in the TOP-5 or the 99.9th percentile!
Alex Huibregtse shot 43.3% from 3-pt, 13th best in the nation- in the 99.7th percentile
Jaquan was Top-10 in steals and steals per game of the 5300 DI players, 99.8th percentile
Meta's blocks per game was 98th percentile
Alex's 84.3% FT shooting was just shy of 99th percentile
Georgi's assists per game in the Bulgarian League would have ranked in the TOP 99.5th percentile
Even Montana Wheeler - a sub, had an A/T Ratio of 2.8 to 1, ......40th best on DI but still 99th percentile!

see, it's easy....

Indiana State gets a commitment from Jackson Cooper of NAIA Oregon Tech. Oregon Tech was 19-11 this past season, and Cooper was their leading scorer. He is a 6'7" junior forward who averaged 17.7 ppg, 7.7 rpg, and 5.8 apg. He shot 56.6% overall and was 0-2 from three.

Stats- https://static.oregontechowls.com/c...ll/Conference Statistics,-Oregon Tech Overall
He was a 2nd team NAIA All-American-

In videos he appears to be an undersized center who is a good passer and scores most of his points against smaller or less mobile defenders.

Valparaiso big man Shon Tupuola commits to Murray State. He averaged 6.4 ppg and 5.8 rpg. Looks like another budget NIL transfer.

This is Shon Tupuola's former teammate at Valparaiso posting a couple icons of a guy throwing garbage in a waste can.
