Ben Thornbrue commits to Bradley

Ben has a very good all round game...good shot from 3 with range, can put it on the floor and drive in control and get buckets in the paint....looking forward to Ben on the Hilltop!🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯

do you think that with Thornbrue committed we will still vigorously pursue Nazir Allen?
They don't appear to be the same type of player, with Allen more of a 4 and Thurnbrue capable of playing a wing...
Bradley, on paper, now has just one more scholarship for sure for 2026, but potentially two if Rugaard doesn't walk on next year.
I am hopeful we can "re-recruit" our entire lineup for 2026-27.

The players who it appears Bradley will lose after this season are Meta, Corey Thomas, A.J. Smith, and Alex Huibregtse. Three of those are forwards or centers. The roster is pretty well stocked with guards who are underclass guys. So I think the coaches will continue to recruit another big guy, probably a juco kid who can contribute right away, IMO.

I agree but one concern I had from the SLU game was 3 point shooting. The best seemed to be Alex and AJ in that game. In today’s game we need to make sure our guards develop in that regard. We don’t have to be as good as we were last year but we need to be better than we showed in that game-that needs to be a combination of development of our young guards and bringing in reinforcements. Hopefully the SLU game was an anomaly.

St. Louis had some big guards, 6'5", 6'6", and 6'7", who were quick and had long arms, and all of whom played a lot. That affected the outside shooting. I doubt we'll face another team this year with that size at guard position. I was also a bit concerned about how many baskets St. Louis got inside, despite no real size advantage over BU. And very few were by Avila. Hope it was also just a fluke. Out senior bigs, Meta, Corey, and AJ need to play a lot better starting Monday.

IMO our best 3 point shooter might be the walk on Nate Rugard. He might need to play a little more just to get the team going.

Saw this on twitter
Trivia question....

One other Bradley player during the Brian Wardle era also verbally committed to Bradley
ON OCTOBER 29TH....(not October 29 of 2025, of course)
Can anyone name that player?

Here's the answer, but if you want a hint first, click below...
