Thought I would save DC and T the trouble of having to start a thread keeping our spirits up about BU's performance so far this year.

BU is still 4-2 with lots of time to get better and win a poor MVC this year...

Just got to get the kinks out of the offense and defense without TB. Can't expect too much when you lose your best player. It takes time.

SM is still playing hurt and will be up and down. Got to give the kid a break.

AW played well!

WE still adjusting to playing after his injury.

MK is a great practice player, just going through a sophmore slump.

This definitely was a trap game before Thanksgiving break after playing a lot of ball last week.

I feel better now, hope you do too!

LOL. I've been a huge JL fan. But this nonsense happens EVERY SEASON. It is just so predictable now. This season was IT. IT. IT. No more.

Well I agree it is early and things can change. Every year we have some of these games. The problem is this year we can't afford to lose any games we should win. This was an easy game to win and we lost it. We are not that good and if we don't make the NIT or NCAA I think that will be it for Les. The team is sealing his fate if they keep losing games they are supposed to win.
 
I'll grant this much: the early schedule was brutal. 2 separate back-to-backs within one week, with this game right on the turnaround. Expecting to get through unscathed was my goal, but I don't think it's unreasonable we didn't. However, this was supposed to be the cinch in the 5-game stretch.

C'mon. This is the same eastern illinois team that lost to the trifecta of power houses...South Dakota St, Ball State, and the almighty Loyola!!!! And Ball State crushed them by 31 points!!! And we are just supposed to say what? Well, it's ok, we are still 4-2???? This was one of the worse losses for Bradley at Carver. Not this season. Ever.

like what DA said tonight....he said he thinks the team was thinking ahead....and blame the coach if you want, as there is blame there...but you can tell when you are warming up that a team is ready to play or not....here to hoping its just a by-product of so many games in the few days and the day before Thanksgiving....

I'm lucky if I get to see one game at Carver a season. This was my one this year. If anyone here thinks Bradley is a legitimate MVC contender, then I've got some beautiful oceanfront property down in Oklahoma for you. I'm hoping that the Braves can make the 4/5 game in STL this season, but the rest of the MVC better be real bad for that to happen.

Please don't try to put any spin on this one. I was hoping the narrow escape against NIU was the aberration...it wasn't. Bradley is not a good basketball team right now. Hopefully they'll be better in 2-3 months...we'll just have to wait and see.

I think we can rush to judgment. This team can't score and has no inside game. At year's end, I am pretty sure this will still be the case.

Who were we thinking ahead to? Western Carolina???? Please! I don't even want to think about what Duke will do to us. It won't be pretty...that's for sure.

You forgot a few AZ:

The crowd was small due to Thanksgiving break.

This was their fifth game in seven days.

We have had bad losses at home before and have come back to make the CBI/CIT.

EIU is predicted to finish third in the Murray St....I mean Ohio Valley Conference.

We have had close wins before and we will have more close wins again.

The Valley stinks this year. We can go 0-12 in non-conference games and still win the Valley!

And finally: Oklahoma lost to Chamiade today and will STILL make the NCAA Tournament!

There's always hope no matter how bad it feels now! Hope that helps everyone! :D
