Still Early, Don't Rush To Judgement. We're 4-2

What was supposed to be a sterling SoS to start the year is tanking a bit. NIU isn't good, everyone whiffed on thinking Loyola Marymount would be good....USC is average....and those games we won, we had to fight to the end and looked disciplined and hard-working.

I'm beginning to worry those efforts were our best, and EIU represents our worst. If that's the case, that's 5-13 in the Valley right there.

You forgot a few AZ:

The crowd was small due to Thanksgiving break.

This was their fifth game in seven days.

We have had bad losses at home before and have come back to make the CBI/CIT.

EIU is predicted to finish third in the Murray St....I mean Ohio Valley Conference.

We have had close wins before and we will have more close wins again.

The Valley stinks this year. We can go 0-12 in non-conference games and still win the Valley!

And finally: Oklahoma lost to Chamiade today and will STILL make the NCAA Tournament!

There's always hope no matter how bad it feels now! Hope that helps everyone! :D

Oklahoma is dreadful...they needed 2 late 3's to force OT at home against North Carolina Central...a team even worse than EIU. Bradley/Oklahoma might be a pretty good game. The Sooners will be last in the Big 12 unless they improve quickly.

C'mon. This is the same eastern illinois team that lost to the trifecta of power houses...South Dakota St, Ball State, and the almighty Loyola!!!! And Ball State crushed them by 31 points!!! And we are just supposed to say what? Well, it's ok, we are still 4-2???? This was one of the worse losses for Bradley at Carver. Not this season. Ever.

This is one of the worst losses in BU history, lets see we lose to Quincy and now E.Illinois, tired of hearing excuses on injuries, too many games in a short period, Les has not changed a thing as far as offensive sets in the last 5 years, I have seen enough of his perimeter game with one guy in the post and 4 guards on the outside, a good coach would have figured out how to get A.Warren at least 10 more shots tonight with the way he was shooting the ball, no doubt in my mind it is time for a change as with him coaching this team looks to be headed for the play-in game .

Didn't want to pile on. I was afraid the thread would get erased!:lol:

BTW, thanks for the additional positive thoughts....I will now assume the lotus position and repeat to myself, Sweet 16, Sweet 16, Sweet 16, Sweet 16...

I didn't realize they were predicted to fall that much. They are usually in the mix for the Big Dance every year. But if that's the case, we need to schedule more USC's, Penn State's and Oklahoma's since BU seems to feast on lower level BCS teams!

Who were we thinking ahead to? Western Carolina???? Please! I don't even want to think about what Duke will do to us. It won't be pretty...that's for sure.

thinking ahead...I think it was thinking that we would handle EIU easily and have some turkey with fam... not Western Carolina...

I hate to say it, but we will finish under .500 this year and in the bottom half of the Valley. Book it. Very fortunate not to be there already. Not just reacting to tonight, but looking at the team, coachine, system, etc. we just come up short in so many areas.

I hope it doesn't get erased. We are just frustrated Bradley fans trying to vent here. Obviously something needs to change quickly or we will have the ultimate season to forget.

But you are right about 2005-2006. We started slow and made our run late. BUT, the Valley was much stronger then, we had a pro prospect and most importantly, we did not lose to a team like EIU early in the season. Anything is possible, but it starts next week at W. Carolina. That is a team that we probably could have lost to at their place and still have been in good shape.

Not anymore. That game has now become a MUST win for us.

Not much to say. Incredibly frustrating game. Enough blame for everyone. Players were terrible, JL had no answers for anything.

Sammy just threw another pass to an EIU player's feet.

I would kill for an anonymous poll of other MVC coaches' opinions of JL as a college coach and recruiter....

Ditto for a candid interview with Steve Merfield about his opinion about JL's program at BU...

And for some more great news tonight, Loyola Marymount has lost to mighty Cal Poly 51-47. The same Cal Poly that lost to a non-D1 school last week. So just how great was that 2 point win over LMU?
