Expected that to be the case.

Here's to hoping you go undefeated, potentially even ranked! Then lose that undefeated when we take it away from you ..

In all seriousness, keep it up ISU. I can't stand the Redbirds, but I love an MVC team getting some votes. Keep winning!

I don't really understand how ISU is getting votes...they are barely beating their opposition which is the worst in the country. If they are receiving votes WSU & BU should be receiving votes.

Missouri St is the team that needs to be receiving votes right now. Mind-boggling.

MSU is the leading candidate to be last year's UNI or two years' ago Drake. That win over Tulsa was huge as Tulsa looks like at least an NCAA bubble team this season. MSU is heading way up on my power poll ballet next week.

MSU rolling up mine too. ISU will stay middling on mine, until they beat someone worthwhile (which probably means not until they get into the conference season... But that being said, as Jeffsu noted, it's good for us that they are getting votes even if they don't deserve them. So... painful though it is for me to say, keep on winning ISU.

Big deal...they beat UIC up North (who is awful) and St. Bonnaventure at home (who is a nobody)...WE should get votes, along with MSU and WSU but after we clobber them in Valley play, they will disappear:lol:

I ask, how does Illinois get a vote over us! I'm not saying we deserve one but if Illinois gets one????

MSU is number one on my power poll this week. Wins v Auburn and Tulsa, they might have over achieved so far but they are achieving.

Based on today 1-2 is a toss up between Bradley and MSU for me... But I still have a few days to wait for results from these teams before I have to submit a vote, so I'll see what the week brings.

1. BU
2. MSU

3. ISU

Illinoy getting votes is just some sympathy big 11 votes and ISU getting votes is from a few guys not paying attention.

I'm still a skeptic on MSU...sorry

To be honest I'm still a skeptic on BU. RIGHT NOW yes I think we are a top 2 team in the valley but I don't think it'll play out that way.

I still think CU rights the ship, I think UNI won't be in the top 2 but definitely in the top 4.

I think WSU is playing pretty well also.

Skeptical is fine with MSU, they have not gone on the road and they have their next 5 of 7 on the road.

BU also I think we know a lot more on Wednesday, I am extremely interested to see how this team plays at NIU. Iowa State will be a barometer for where this team is at going into conference play. But NIU is HUGE.

CU will be playing the 4-5 game this year. They are way to small and I do not see them righting that ship of theirs. UNI on the other hand started off slow last year and look what they did with the same team.

CU WILL right the ship. They'll be top 3 in our conference, book it. UNI I agree could easily still win the entire valley if they get hot again like last season. MSU I already stated.

I don't think NIU is a trap game. We need to win because we are better. If we lose to them we are no where near where we should be....ESPECIALLY after beating the Illini. They should not compete with us.

Intensity will bring the W.

CU does not have the horses this year to contend night in and night out IMHO. With 2 games a week you need a bit of depth in this league and CU is already hurting. MSU could be the surprise team and JL said as much during one of his pre-season interviews. UNI will be a force come conference time. I do believe we have a chance to win if we play with the intensity we showed on Saturday, throughout the rest of the season. WSU to me is still questionable. I do not think they have the offensive fire power to finish top 2.
