Can someone tell me why everyone is so excited about MB. I have seen him play twice and he still hasn't showed me anough to get excited about. Doesn't jump real well and no shot outside of 6 feet and his court vision doesn't look real good either.

Does the PJ Star ever confirm anything before printing it?

Les WILL be fired in 20 days.....to well I think he will probably be fired

Maniscalco has asked for release.....to actually Maniscalco hasn't asked yet

Max has been offered.....to actually Max has not been offered yet


It's getting to be pretty regular they are taking back what they print within 24 hours. That's kind of embarrassing.

Well, in the article on MB....Coach Mathews said he was the one who misunderstood. He did, in fact, tell Max that BU had offered. How is that the PJStar's fault?

As for Les being fired within 20 days....he was.

As for SM. That is up in the air. Dr. Cross didn't say SM hasn't asked for release. He said he hadn't talked to him. A release request would be in written form.

we really never fully know the whole story -- but if indeed Willie Scott, or JL, has ever talked an "offer" with the Bielfeldts, then I think that's pretty danged smart.....who wouldn't want the kid and his family supporting and/or considering Bradley......?
 
This situation has me wondering. What would upset a new coach more? Being told he has to keep certain assistant coaches or potentially having fewer scholarships to recruit with because "the school" is recruiting on his behalf. Or maybe I am wrong. Maybe its not a big deal to the new coach because he just landed a great job. On the other hand, he may not like having his hands tied because it keeps him from getting his people in place (much like Glasser has been doing :roll:).

Now if a current asst coach is likely to get the new job I would understand but I don't think that is the situation here.

Regardless of opinions on Max, he does have offers from two top-half BigTwenlve teams. I think any incoming coach would love to have a recruit of that level committed to the school without any coach.
 
but on the other hand -- you can't just let all recruiting grind to a halt and all recruiting contacts and lifelines go cold...
Of all the things I have read and heard since Sunday morning -- this one might the the single most satisfying to me...

+1. Willie Scott is out there scouting, recruiting, and representing BU.

If BU lands Max somehow in the next few weeks, it would be a huge get and make this an even more attractive job.
