Jerrance Howard situation

I completely agree that because of this Howard shouldn't be hired as the next head coach and he did it to himself. The problem I have is although Bradley hasn't made it public knowledge who is on the replacement list Wessler felt he should make the public aware of this.
 
Even if he did just find out about it, it doesn't seem relevant until Bradley comes out and says here is who we are considering.

I agree with your post but if you had read all the posts on both boards it appears where there is smoke there is fire. Did it have to be reported today. Probably not . Should it have been, I think so.

Wily I agree with you, I just like to make people think. Everything is done for a reason. It is best that this comes out now and gets it over with. If JH stands the test and it works out for him the better he will be. I would hate to have it hanging over his head if he does become the coach and it comes out later.

LBF that is my point exactly. I am certainly not anti Howard. Just last Thur night I was having dinner in The Villages with two very big BU basketball fans and I told them both I thought our next HC and AD would be Howard and Chris. If he does become a candidate and ends up our coach at least the people who do the hiring will have all the facts and I would support him 100%.Nothing worse than a surprise.

well it was probably covered up from being in the paper in the first place last summer??¦??¦this whole thing is just crazy??¦??¦.

We still have an AD and coach right???¦??¦??¦.man have we jumped the gun
 
Wily, I wouldn't dignify that thread by reading it. I think it is a shame because there are some knowledgable posters there.

I personally feel that if the BOT had already known that it should not have been printed. I don't know if Howard and his staff would have been good or not but that is not my call.

I hope you are enjoying the humidity. It does have to beat the 15 inch blizzard we experienced when back on a visit.

I feel that antics like this by Wessler do Bradley no good. Assuming that Geno's contract does get bought out, and there is a need for a new coach, this shows what kind of crap the head coach would have to deal with. Not too inviting if the local media doesn't agree with your hiring. Might turn some prospective coaches off.

Yeah, make sure Wessler approves of the new coach. Seriously, we need a coach who will tell him and his staff where to go if they treat him the same way they treated the coach before Geno.

Yup - there's reasons why nearly a dozen different head coaching candidates were contacted or interviewed for the job last time around then turned around and left when all the details were made known..
Please don't let it happen again.

Get the right people involved now, not the same people who blew it last time.

I think that depends on how coaches decide to handle the media
 
I know you are playing coy, but I think it's likely there will be another "resignation" coming in about 3 weeks that he might be qualified for.
 
LaVall Jordan can also deliver an effective big man who will be leaving Michigan at the end of this season with immediate eligibilty...
