As I said in this thread- our non conference schedule is weak enough to expect 7 or 8 wins before the MVC games.

But I don't see us beating many teams in the MVC. So I say 12 wins overall.

I say we win more then predicted and have a chance to stay out of the playin games, just need for our top 8 players to stay healthy.

Here's the happiness scale for me as a BU fan:

10 wins or less = utter failure, will 2nd guess Geno's hiring
11 wins = disappointed
12-13 wins = content - met expectations
14-15 wins = quite pleased
.500 record = elated!
.500+ record = stunned & on Cloud 9!

I'm not going to place a number on this year's team because in reality my expectations are not great for this team. I am happy about where our bigs appear to be but we still do not have the shooters unless someone (WE?) steps up and becomes that guy! Also, I'm still not sold on WL being a tier 1 PG in the MVC which is needed ti stay out of Thursday play in game. If we are to see improvements we'll need better distribution of the ball, 3 pt shooting and a decent bench that at least can play pretty good D. There's no reason we can't win 4 home games during league play and perhaps sneak 2 wins on the road.

That's where my patients will lie this year. Just be better at basketball, and with that the team will win a few more games.

I am a optimist! But Really we are talking about a Starting 5 by conf play of NW, TP, WE, WL, DSE, Which leaves a solid bench of JP,SS,JE,KB....The rotation is there I mean 3 of the bench players this season will have got alot of time last season! I'm not saying things are gonna be perfect by Friday night, we will win tho! but we are headed where we need to be! No reason we cant finish 4th or better! We gonna protect this house this yr! After we beat Mich here CU is coming in Scared!!

Agreed, though I predict 12 to 14 wins. Get to at least 12 with 5 conference wins, and at least they are improving. But agreed that fewer blow outs, especially at home is a must this year.
