Well, can the unthinkable happen today with VCU joining Butler in the Final Four? VCU off to a good start up 9-8 early.

This would be the first time two mid-majors made the Final Four in the same year in who knows how long ago!
 
It'd be hard to argue that a VCU/Butler Final Four wouldn't at least plant a seed in future recruits minds' everywhere when it comes to sitting at a big boy or playing at a mid major.

Especially when we're beatin ya in elite 8's.

From down 7-0 to 17-7 VCU....BOOSH!

Oh wow! Did I just see a new State Farm commerical with Gary Cole reprising his Bill Lundbergh Office Space role?! I think I just did!

GEEZ! How did I forget Northern Iowa?! :roll: Probably too much excitement from this game.

Hmmm, let's see what t-shirt would work. I'll have to think of something.
 
butler/vcu would be a great game too I think.

Butler's slow it down pace versus the 3's of VCU. Might be a great one......

I think this would be Butler's most difficult game. VCU has just been unstoppable this tournament, and have won most of their games by pretty wide margins, outside of their previous game against Florida St.

VCU up 31-17 now!
 
Man, I've always wanted BU to do to do this to someone...

how about a #1 seed hearing an OVER RATED chant @ half time.

That would be..awesome.
 
This is going about as bad for Kansas as I've seen from a #1 seed in a long time. 3 for 10 from the FT line. 39-25 with 2:07 left
 
I'm just going to come out and say that this board is testament to why Mid Majors are superior to Majors. If there were just majors left, none of those that had been knocked out would even care about the tournament, much less root for teams. For teams like BU, Butler, and Mid Majors, even if you miss the tournament, you'll pick up the tourney and root for the mid majors in ANY postseason tourney. You end up with a larger fanbase than the Majors. THAT'S why I'm perfectly happy with the MVC being a "Mid-Major" conference. They stick together.

Well we did this in 2006, but yes, sometime again in the very near future would be nice. :D

I like the "overrated" chant idea, but I also liked seeing the "We're Not In Kansas Anymore" signs some VCU fans are showing. :D
