It appears that Indiana State coach Greg Lansing is hinting at a possible commitment? Or maybe something else?

"Sycamores got better tonight!! Stay tuned."

It appears that what Indiana State Head Coach Greg Lansing was referring to was a grad-transfer from Towson State who just committed to Indiana State-
Tobias "T.J." Howard- he is a 6'2" point guard who has moved around a lot. Indiana State will be his 7th different school since his junior year of high school.
He originally was a 2015 recruit out of North Gwinnet HS in Suwanee, Georgia, however, he transferred and did his senior season (2014-15) at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, then did a 5th year prep school season (2015-16) at DME Academy in Daytona Beach, FL. He then committed to Western Kentucky in 2016. He played only his freshman season at Western Kentucky (2016-17) where he averaged 3.0 ppg, 1.4 rpg, and 1.2 apg. He then transferred to Chipola CC in Marianna, FL where he averaged 13.4 ppg, 3.2 rpg, and 4.0 apg his sophomore season (2017-18 ). Then he went to Towson State where he played in 2018-19 and averaged 10.2 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 2.5 apg, and 34.1% from three as a part-time starter for a 10-22 Towson team.
He then missed the entire 2019-20 season at Towson and does not even appear on the team's roster after he was prominently mentioned as a key player for them prior to the season. It is a bit of a mystery and I am unable to find a reason mentioned anywhere why he did not play this past season. Towson went 19-13, 12-6 and finished in 3rd place in the CAA in the 2019-20 season while Howard not part of the team. He remained at Towson, and graduated this spring. He is transferring to Indiana State as a grad-transfer and will be eligible immediately.

Missouri State has lost 5 scholarship players to graduation and another 4 to transfer, lands a big man.
6'10" center Nic Tata, an Australian kid who played at Blinn junior college in Texas the past 2 seasons, has committed to Missouri State. He started all 32 games for Blinn in 2019-20, who went 23-10 this past season. Tata averaged 8.6 ppg and 6.2 rpg. He shot an amazing 73.9% from the floor. That was 0.1% behind the national leader in FG%.

Indiana State lands their second recruit in the last 24 hours, and their 7th 2020 recruit overall (see post #27 above)-
The Sycamores get a commitment from Randy Miller Jr. tonight. He's a grad-transfer from North Carolina Central, a 6'2" shooting guard. He is originally from Maryland and played his first year at Mount St. Mary's before spending a year at Moberly junior college in Missouri, then NC Central. He averaged 13.2 ppg as a junior (2018-19) and was their leading returning scorer this season. He started the first 8 games for NC Central this past season, and averaged 14.3 ppg and shot 38.1% from three before an injury ended his season.

Missouri State picked up 2 new players today-

Dawson Carper, a 7'0" center from Hawaii is transferring to Missouri State. He is a solidly built big kid as can be seen from this video
http://verbalcommits.com/players/dawson-carper
He is a sophomore at Hawaii who would have to sit out a year and have 2 years of eligibility left unless he gets a waiver. He is originally from Colorado Springs, CO.
https://hawaiiathletics.com/sports/m...n-carper/18270
He played in 28 of their 30 games, and started 22 games. He averaged 6.0 ppg and 3.9 rpg.

And they just got a commitment from Raphe Ayres, a 6'5" shooting guard from Vermont Academy (the same prep school Ronnie Suggs played at.
It doesn't appear that he had any other offers-

With all the players leaving Missouri State, Coach Dana Ford still has 3 open scholarships.

See post above for complete list of new recruits by MVC teams.

Missouri State lands their 3rd commitment of the day, 6'7" Keaton Hervey, a pretty good juco player from New Mexico Junior College. He is Dana Ford's 4th juco commit and 6th commit overall for 2020, and MSU still has 2 more open scholarships.
He spent his freshman season at University of the Incarnate Word where he averaged 7.8 ppg. At New Mexico Junior College in 2019-20 he averaged 15.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg, and shot 42.5% from three. He had several mid-major offers, including Indiana State and Drake.

Drake gets a commitment tonight from Bryceson Burns, a 6'5" shooting guard/small forward from a prep school, Strength 'N Motion International Academy at The Winston School San Antonio. He is originally from Westfield High School in Houston, TX.
http://verbalcommits.com/players/bryceson-burns
https://www.desmoinesregister.com/st...ns/2980704001/

He was originally committed to UIC last fall, but reopened his recruitment after UIC head coach Steve McClain was fired last month. When he committed to UIC, it was the only D1 offer he had. After reopening his commitment, he also received an offer from University of New Orleans, but chose Drake over that offer.
Drake still has one open scholarship because of Liam Robbins' leaving.
