Thanks to all the Bradley people.....alums, fans, disenchanted fans, faculty & others who spoke out on behalf of our university. You have probably saved our wonderful school from degenerating into something other than the Bradley we all knew and loved.
The first big step in rebuilding Bradley has now been taken. And yet, much remains to be done in the next several months to rebuild Bradley.
Although they have been slow moving, let's also give the trustees thanks and credit for taking decisive action to resolve the problem.
Our future is now much brighter and hopefully by the end of next summer, we can look forward to the new Bradley we all can be proud of.

Yes, Wizard, I could not agree more.
Unlike the last time when despite a winning program, recording all-time high marks in attendance (total attendance in 2007-08 was the highest in Bradley's entire history, and average attendance as recently as 2009 was still over 10,000!), academics (link) and revenues raised (link and link), the writers in the Peoria Journal Star bombarded the readers with negative articles and columns painting a picture far worse than it was and demanding a coaching change in 2011 and finally got their way.

But strangely, despite Bradley basketball falling to the worst level in its entire history and getting worse each year, despite the most massive and continuous fall in attendance, season tickets, donations, and total revenues in the history of the program, and despite the unprecedented cementing of Bradley's storied basketball program into the bottom rungs of the MVC, and even failing to achieve success despite the worst 3-year stretch of non-conference weaklings our schedule has ever seen, still the PJ Star writers refused to take off the blinders and report objectively what was happening. Instead, as the program fell further into oblivion and irrelevance, the accolades just seem to keep coming faster and more furious from the guys at the PJ Star.

So if we had to depend on the writers at the PJS to push for a badly needed change now like they did 4 years ago when things were not nearly as bad as they have become now, it would never have happened.

Only because of the people here on Bradleyfans, and those who voiced their feelings in other ways like the letters to the editor of the PJ Star, letters and communications directly to the Board of Trustees, and those who pulled back or threatened to pull back their support for this failing leadership were we able to see a change begin to happen. Finally, better days are ahead, and it is thanks to the fans this time, not those who call themselves the experts.

Thank You. Indeed

As an out-of-town Braves fan I say THANK YOU for all the effort to bring about this change.. Sadly Ms Glasser did not make the transition from public university to private university.... I believe that I may wander out tonight and tip a "barley beverage" or two to your health. At last the "Endless Winter" may finally be over.
