Thank you Braves

It has been a rough patch down here for me, lots of stress from work, and a growing mess with my landlord, I am on a diet and can't eat any of the good food we have down here that normally makes me feel better. I have been feeling cranky and angry for what feels like weeks.

When Eastman hit that 3 to go up, I couldn't do anything but smile and smile and smile, hell I am still smiling. I feel ten times better than I did earlier today, and while I know it's silly to be moved that much by sports, I needed this win, and I needed that moment.

Thank you Braves, and Thank you Bradley for everything tonight, I saw men walk off that court tonight, and I am not sure that I have ever been more proud of our boys.

Great thread, GMWright!
I know lots of BU fans are smiling as they hit the sack tonight that will stay on through the night.
And yes, sports should not move us to the degree it does sometimes, but that's how we're wired. What can we do?
I feel like a burden of trying to will this team over the hump the past few seasons is lifted.
For me, this game was like the Superbowl. Whatever happens for the rest of the year, I feel like we've accomplished a lot after that win tonight.
I had been thinking on Monday and much of Tuesday how I would feel if we lost 8 in a row to these guys, and had it come to fruition, this would have been a very bitter feeling for perhaps the rest of the college good season when thinking about sports.
We got it done...and it was our toughness that made us prevail!

yes - and it was sweet - and I heard some of the players saying it was sweet - since it's their first win - even the seniors - over ISU..
but we still need to beat someone at home that's ahead of us in the standings so we can keep moving up!

Bring on Evansville and Indiana State...protect the home court!!

There's a couple columns in today's Pantagraph and I enjoyed reading their take on the same game I watched last night...

Where they saw the game differently made me giggle a bit..
-first they never really seem to give credit to BU - only that ISU "fell apart" and lost the game by playing poorly..they even go so far as say it wasn't like BU did anything different in the 2nd half - seriously!
-and also they kinda make the point that Muller's good and righteous coaching moves resulted in the loss....check it out - LINK

Wow

Wow

What's more amazing then a 16 pt comeback is that some people who claim to be fans on here are upset we won. It is more amazing then the comeback.

What an amazing night and game.

Probably one of the weirdest games I've seen in a long time at Carver. They couldn't miss from 3-point land, we were dominant in the paint and getting steals. The refs made some cringe-worthy bad and/or odd calls and BU comes from way back to beat ISU for the first time in years!

Great game to watch, well at least after the first 10-12 minutes.

This team is actually very incredible when you think about what they are accomplishing. I give credit to everyone involved. Keep moving forward BU!

It was a great feeling walking out of the arena last night. I can't remember the last time I felt that good about a BU win in the last 3-4 years.

And the soda my boss is going to have to buy me today because BU won will be the icing on the cake.

I echo the "Thank you, Braves!" Tomorrow is my birthday, and I told everyone what I wanted was a BU win over ISWho. Gift delivered! And I know it was for ME because the amazing amount of points the Braves scored in the second half will be my age tomorrow! Find me at the Lariat tomorrow night. Think I'll have a LEMONade! Thank you, BU. . .

We are in the Villages in Fl and were out to dinner with 3 other couples. When we got back to another friends house to watch the game ,the score was 23 to 9 the bad guys. I am taking responsibility for the win.lol Braves 12 will like that statement I'm sure. Walt was outstanding last night and the 3 Jake drained seemed to take the wind out of the deadbirds sails. DSE also made some big plays at bothe ends of the floor. Wish we could find a way to keep WE on the floor for more minutes but that probably won't happen. Hope we can keep this thing going.Great win last night Geno and the Braves.

I was visiting in that area last week....nice area

Considering the majority of the guys in the rotation do not know how to score consistently, I agree completely. Great job staff and players.

I thought Geno's artistry in funneling those big guys in and out at the end of the game to keep them from fouling out and keep the guy on the floor fresh also while playing offense-to-defense was very impressive. Maybe the single best in-game coaching moves I have seen from him.

I don't know how he did it, but it was great coaching...TP and WE are so foul-prone it's unbelievable.

We must have worked a lot in breaking the press since the Wichita game because we handled it beautifully in the 2nd half, which led to some easier scores. Good, crisp passes.

I am keeping this game recorded on my DVR for a long time to watch after the season ends!...or maybe even replay it this Friday night! I think it might be as enjoyable as the actual game, seeing how badly we struggled in the 1st half, but knowing the outcome!
