Rivals MVC preview

Andrew Warren shot it 11.4 times a game last year and both were at 40% accuracy..

here are some representative career stats for players at the end of their junior years and before their senior years...I have listed mostly just the guys who are now seniors or who were recently..and really none of them are super gunners....like taking 15-20 shots per game, and I don't think the Valley has had any such player in the past decade...

Andrew Warren - 1019 pts, 10.4 ppg, 42% on FG on 755 FG attempted
Sam Maniscalco - 1152 pts, 11.0 ppg, 43% on FG on 835 FG attempted
Kenny Lawson --953 pts, 9.16 ppg, 53% on FG on 701 FG attempted
P'Allen Stinnett - 1024 pts, 11.7 ppg, 44% on FG on 796 FG attempted
Kwadzo Ahelegbe- 850 pts, 8.6 ppg, 39% on FG on 677 FG attempted
Osiris Eldridge - 1325 pts, 13.25 ppg, 41.5% on FG on 1000 FG attempted
Kyle Korver - 1197 pts, 12.7 ppg, 47% on FG on 793 FG attempts

Talked to JP's brother yesterday, who has been a many practices already this fall. His brother thinks Jordan will get significant minutes, and would be coming off the bench quite often. I think Jordan will be a good player this year.

I hope he is right he is one player that could change my opinion about the teams potential. That and if they really buy into the defensive effort and stop other teams.

Would you expect anything less from a family member? I'll wait it out until we see him on the floor as well as AT. One of them will have to be a force if not both if we want to have a fighting chance to compete for the top spot.

Anyone know how MK is doing? He has a great attitude and you have to pull for him.

The point I was trying to make is....

We should all give AT a clean slate!

I think we should all stop being delusional about what AT is going to contribute to this team until he actually shows us something. This is his 4th year at BU and he has been a complete non-factor to this point. He's a non-entity to me until he shows something otherwise in game action...Every year we hear about the 40 pounds of muscle he's added, the strides he's made in his game, how this is the year that he's going to become a significant contributor, and so on and so on...and then the season begins and he doesn't play a single meaningful minute...it gets frustrating to watch that cycle repeat itself year after year...

So, at this point...year 4 of the "AT Era"...I'm simply going to assume that he is going to give us absolutely nothing again, and I will hope that he finds a way to prove me to be very, very wrong on the matter...

If AT came to BU at 180 lbs. and has added 40 pounds after every season, he should be close to 300 lbs. of shear muscle. Finally! The stud we've been waiting for!!! :D ;-)

Actually, AT gained about 4x the weight he gained in the past off-season (4) to (17-this off-season).
How good could we be if we actually see AT and MK with good minutes and production off the bench?
I see us having all the players we need to be successful - just need the right chemistry and right attitude/dedication!

Putting weight on does not make a player more aggressive or tougher which I believe to be his main weaknesses.

I agree here with you, weight may be a factor, along with height, but as you say, give me a player that is more aggressive, tougher and has the attitude of "your not going to beet me:!: I also agree with ER3, that after 4 years here I am not going to delusional about AT but am going to take the hopefull and wait and see path:| I am not real delusional again this year with WE playing the 5 all the time and hope that JP may help there, giving WE a chance to play the 4:) I know little about JP, other then his high school playing and that he has good size. Big jump from HS to Div 1 ball:!: Hope he has all the above highlighted:!::D

I expect good things from J.Prosser as he has good post moves, good hands and a wide body, his red-shirt season was a good move as it allowed him to gain strength plus he was able to witness what it takes to play d1 basketball.

OOB - I will be real shock to see WE play anything but the 5. Last year we could have played SS at the 5 and WE at the 4 and that never materialized I believe but once at the end of a 1/2. WE's minutes will be used strictly at the 5.

Your killing me friend:( Maybe with the new coach's there will be a change in mind set and the way we approach the game. I am thinking like real fan that JP will be ready to contribute a lot this year:!: With JP, AT, WE, MK and TB theres really NO Excuses why we can not play bigger with a lot of different looks (combinations) in at the 4 and 5 and even the 3:D I hope I am not getting delusional over this again, only to be let down:oops:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Albert Einstein ;-)
