Proud of the team...

After watching that half I have to say I'm pretty proud of them for that effort. This team is a team that has could very easily be down on themselves. Two key injuries and now their star player is causing trouble somehow someway and is out for this game and who knows how many more games. Their assistant coach has left. I mean we have gone through more drama in a half a season than what most teams have gone through in 2 or 3 and they came out on the road against a good team and put up a fight and are in the position to possibly pull out a road win. Win or lose I'm proud of the team that just played from their HEART that half...

I want to see more heart, and I'll be happy win or lose. With heart we'd only have 2 or 3 loses.

I said this before, this team is really looking like it is starting to gell and everyone is figuring out their roles. Minus a 1 to 2 minute collapse against Southern I think this team has looked pretty good in conference. Figuring out roles means there is no more confusion, which results in confidence, which results in players playing hard. This team is understanding their roles now, and they are now playing hard for whole games because of it. I still expect a good conference season!!

a couple thoughts-

--refs should have called the foul on the final shot by Andrew Warren - they really missed that one
--the Braves are talented and playing well...commend them when they play this hard!
--the young guys are also doing well, Jake, AT, Eddren, Milos..
--DSE1/9/10 (read between the lines)
--also read between the lines of the BUBravesblog for the answer on TB and a couple others
--Sam M is healing up and playing better
--this team will still have a few ups and downs, but will be as ready as anyone in March

the replay I saw looked like it could have been a decent block on AW

After everything that has happened this season them going out there and trying their hardest is all we can ask for. We aren't going to finish high in the valley, but we have been beaten and bruised already this season with injuries and off the court issues once again. They played hard but you can only win so many games when you have 3 of your top 6 or 7 players out and you play the same guys most of the game...they're gonna get tired and they did in the 2nd half. I'm proud of them...they didn't quit this time like they have the last 3 home games.

the team tried hard today. it's too bad Tb cares so little about the team, he can't keep himself out of trouble...really a shame. what a waste

Really good effort. They played hard and we saw a much better game out of the point with best game of the year from both EM and SM. Would have liked to see some more shots for AW though-need to find a way to get him more looks in the second half.

"@Wichita State is a game we're not likely to win even if we were good. Going into the season, I wrote off @UNI, @WSU, and @CU as losses."

ehhh I'm not convinced. If we have a healthy DD, DSE, and a right-minded TB we are a team that only has 2 or 3 losses and that one, I don't think, would have been one of them.

WSU was my preseason favorite. I thought our team showed heart and played relatively well. I am encouraged by what I saw today. :)

I am too proud of the effort. Our guys fought to the end. It would have been easy for them to have just mailed it in after the heartbreaking loss to SIU and with TB suspended but we didn't. Would have liked to have seen Milos play any minutes in the 2nd half but JL must think his defense isn't college ready. Considering we're giving up a lot points in the last few games I would say we have a few other guys who aren't playing college ready defense either. I liked the way we attacked the basket and we need to do more of that instead of settling for long jump shots. With games on the road at Missouri State, at UNI and then back home against MS we could be looking at 6 losses in a row if we don't beat IND St at home on Wednsday and if that happens hello Thursday in St. Louis.

WSU chucks too many 3's to contend for title, though they do have some depth. either 2 or 3 behind UNI and maybe ISU red. BU will hope for 5th or 6th at BEST
