Well, that's too bad we couldn't sustain the hot start. Couldn't buy a shot in the later parts of the game.

David Collins looked good. Surprised he got the start over Singh, but he played well today I thought.

Hated watching the 2nd half with all the fouls.

Well I am not one of the people that usually complains about Sam. I really wonder how badly he is hurt. That was the worst game I can remember him having in his career. All around, shot wouldn't fall, got the ball taken away several times, just a bad game. That and the free throws really cost us.

Not much to say. Michigan State just has bigger, quicker athletes at every position. And as long as they shoot this well from outside, they will be very hard to beat. Bradley played well for 15 minutes, then they couldn't make an outside shot after that.

I think they'll rebound against Butler.

I was actually fairly pleased about this game, especially in the first half... And man, those Vegas people are pretty good, huh?

Lake, who have you been watching, SM played his typical game, only thing is it was against a team that could make him pay. Heaven forbid JL benches him but SM is his boy. In JLs defence this was a hard played game and we are not that deep...

Yeah, DaCoach, I agree. Disappointed in not being able to make some of the open shots and free-throws. But then again, it's not like we're playing @ a 300 RPI team's court. It's a tough top 25 team wanting to rebound from their own bad loss.

Don't mind losing by 16. Just wish it could have been a better game overall.

We rebounded in the first half very well, really played bad interior defense in the second, especially when MSU made it a point to get the ball to the block. We turn it over to much and in some really bad situations.

We really shot bad from the free throw line.

But the one thing that really is glaring bigtime to me is we have no one who we can go to score points. If we need a shot during a stretch of play were we need to break momentum we just have no one to go to... If we have that in the first half and make some free throws, it might have been different but again our interior defense is not good, but it does not help to have small forwards trying to play the 4 spot.

Collins... its difficult to say he played well, he is out of position defensively alot, playing a 2-1-2 and having Collins as the 1 really allows him to much opportunity to roam and he needs to sit in the lane.

Not a bad lose but certainly no lose is good. But we should take away alot from this and Florida, its just to bad we didnt have this game closer. MSU is not great and we had our chances to make a game of it several times.

WEll sitting @ 4-3 right now....losing @ 19 Florida and @ 12 Micigan State is about what is expected from this years team so far...the only bad loss IMO was losing to UMKC...If it wasn't for that...this season is about where I thought it would be!

Hate to be the bad news bear but Butler will hand it to us also

I can't agree with this. Bradley will play much etter at home and will hand Butler their first loss. It should boost Bradley's RPI and their SOS into the 30's.

Here is the box score-

BTW Singh may not have great hops, and yes the missing of bunnies is a huge headache., but He usually gets in good defensive position and can block out and get some boards. He also is our only "big" who can screen and roll. He also passes pretty decently off of those screen and rolls.

I agree...

Thought we played well in the first half. Their athleticism and size got to us in the 2nd half. I like this teams chances moving forward. I have said from day 1 that this team was going to go through growing pains in the non-con, but hope that they can work through them and get ready for the valley. Two frustrating things for me is when will AW be back and why isn't AT getting more minutes?

Sam and Sam both had bad games, David Collins had 2 rebounds ( that stat alone is inexcusable for a 7 footer ) coach Les said T.Brown does not work hard enough in practice and that is why he did not play more minutes ; its too bad because he makes things happen out on the floor, A.Thompson did more on the defensive end then our other 2 centers in the short time that he played ,( 1 rebound,1 blocked shot, 1 or 2 altered shots ) he will only get better if he gets to play.
