The NCAA selections have been made for 2 of the 4 regionals: https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/ncaa-tournament/bracket/ So far, Drake's name has not been announced.
Drake gets an # 11 seed in the West region, and they will play Missouri. That's a pretty good draw for them, IMO.
Bracket- https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/ncaa-tournament/bracket/
The SEC got 14 teams in the tournament.
Big Ten - 8 teams
Big 12 - 7
Big East - 5
ACC - 4
Mountain West - 4
West Coast - 2
30-3 in one of the best mid-major conferences and they get an 11 seed. I guess we know the high end of seeding we can ever expect to get in the future. I can’t imagine having a much better record than that, ever.
14 SEC team! The NCAA is a joke.
I agree DC, my thought when I saw it. The selection committee is gross. 14 SEC, plus a bad UNC team. People want to see their teams and Cinderellas. Reward MMs, not .500 or worse P4.
Just invite the whole SEC conference. They need to come up with a better selection process than what they now
I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get to an invite all P4, and MMs have to play in
I'd rather have an honest system than the BS that is getting pulled these days, even if that means the end of something we love. The system is already broken with NIL, it will slowly morph into something else but they won't do it right away to prevent an uproar from everyone not in the Power school system. The sport is entirely something else than what it even was 20 yrs ago.
If u can’t finish better than 14th in the conference, no way u should be rewarded with an at large. Also 1-12 vs quad 1’s… lol anybody could do that.. I could play by myself and lose 12 of them.. in fact, I would lose all 13… so the entire UNC did slightly better in quad 1 games than I would do by myself.
Yeah, you’re right. We only get one bid regularly in the incredibly fair and just selection process of the NCAA tournament. What was I thinking!Tough to say we are a top MM league when we only ever get 1 team in

A player will eventually sue the NCAA and the selection process on the grounds that it prevents them from maximizing their NIL potential by showcasing their game in the tourney.
The selection process is not transparent, there are no “hard benchmark requirements” for selection, it reeks of conflict of interest, and an algorithm used for selection is designed to favor certain teams and conferences who all participate under the same organization (NCAA Basketball)
