The MVC has toured facilities in Kansas City, Des Moines, and Omaha and will make an official announcement next week regarding the future of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament site.

But there is word leaking out that their decision will be to keep the tournament in St. Louis. I hope these rumors are true!

A Missiouri state fan over on Valleytalk is reporting that the tourney will stay in St. Louis. Nothing official, but that is the rumor over there.

With The MVC building a new headquarters near The Scotttrade Center it seems highly unlikely they would move their Marquee event elsewhere.
This was a ploy to get more $'s out of St. Loo!C

More like doing their job. Competition is a good thing in a free market econmy.

On the other hand the tournament get's national attention so why mess with this formula. St. Louis keeps it pretty neutral for everyone.

St. Louis is the place where the tournament has grown into one of the biggest in the country, and the city really does a great job. There's a great buzz around there all weekend, I for one hope the rumor is true that the tourney is staying in STL.

Hopefully some of the negotiations related to some hotel relief. Especially at some of the hotels that are traditionally considered "moderate" in price

I have a reservation at the Hampton Inn for $145 per night. Come on.

I know a lot of you do priceline or stay quite a ways away from Scottrade. We have a larger group so we need to have reservations and we like to be able to walk.
