and by the way I still think Nickolpolis was a good player, and lavender as well. they may not have had as decorated as a HS career, but skill level I take those 2 before Billy (unless i need a shooter desparately... ;-)

And those two seemed to have more heart than molinari too, but that may be too subjective haha
 
Heart? Now I know you really do not know what your talking about......your arguing with someone that knows....


Lavender made All State thats pretty decorated......If you were arguing about Lavender vs Billy...that would be a tough one.....

yes Lavender went to state, but never got as much press as Billy does. Journal star overhypes Billy like nothing ive seen befor. probably because his dad was former BUcoach. but if i never saw Billy play and just read JS, i would think Billy would make NBA! lol . And as far as Nickolpolis he never got press even when he would have like 20+ pts many times in a row. There were articles about his lesser teammates over him lol. I dont get the JS

Lavender definately better than Molinari, hands down no contest! lavender best to come out of PCS for sure, athletic, quick, good shooter, jumps really high, can defend people and really has physical capabilities to play at high level. Molinari...not so much

at least with Nickolpolis and Molinari it would be a close contest and a good 1 on 1 to watch. they are more comparable than Lavender and Molinari.

And again you dont say anything to the fact Molinari one year held back! you dont think thats a big deal? its a huge deal I believe.
 
and what do you mean with someone that knows? You coach all of them? im just curious, i dont mean to sound like pushy of mad or anything i like talking about this with all you guys
 
heybbballfans, we like to have people's opinions here, but we don't allow discussions to drag on back and forth because we differ. mrcoachdude and lefty are pretty close to all those kids, so their opinions certainly seem valid. So lets just accept that you have your different opinions about these kids, and not say more that sounds too much like attacking them OK. Thanks.
 
press doesnt , sry it was off topic i was just saying. but you still dont tell me if u think the fact he one year held back makes a difference which i said makes huge difference so compare his junior year with other players senior years to be fair and age all same. Also so you didnt coach them all?

I am a former coach at PCS......coached there since 93....still help when I can.....but I am not sure what that has to do with anything either...talent is talent...

In the end what matters is that a player has a chance to play a game they love and get a chance to get an education to boot......D1 D2 D3.... I have seen D3 players that could have played D1 and D1 players that should be playing D3 :)
 
i agree with you there. either way you cut it, all those players we talked about were great hs players and all had good heart and im sure since you coached them, they were all stand up guys and their teammates probably love them. all of them definately are college caliber players and were fun to watch in hs. Im sure you had fun coaching all of them. Were all of them coachable players? Im just curious to see a coaches insight! ;-)

Fun..yes....it was AWESOME to be able to coach at PCS....great players, parents and staff...what a privledge it was to coach there..and yes they were all "coachable"...its really cool to see how they mature and improve as players and individuals....
 
I bet, thats cool, good for you and them, and sry guys (da coach) if I sounded mad and attacking, I really did not try to, just tried to stir some convos. and ill keep in mind to try not to sound like that in future. haha its hard to get right feelings behind the typed words lol.

last thing now thing u said ealrier makes sense about u would kno about the heart thing. so in your opinion how wrong was i? billy has more heart than either of other 2? or can u not say? lol
 
Who has more heart? i do not think you can tell...or even decide what it really means...but in Billy's case....you will not find a player that has worked as hard and loves the game anymore........there are many many players that fit this description.....I can't type very well so I will limit it to say that in Lavender and Molinari there are two guys that improved themselves by working very very hard......proud of them...
 
and by the way mrcoahcdude, not that its a huge deal, but u never really answered any points i made or nything during our argument. U never refuted anything really. I just thought next time, or even now, u can refute stuff. heh maybe i like to argue too much, but thats just a thought for u.
 
To refute things you take away from a player.........its just my opinion that to compare Billy and Nick...its not close.....but that is just my opinion....we all have them...:)

ok i understand since u coached them, maybe u dont want to bring one down, i understand that (in case they read these stupid things lol). ok i know its your opinion and i respect that. i will just say i dont agree since Billy one year older than all other players and thats unfair to competition since a year a huge difference. so agree to disagree. and i think Nick better. and since you only mentioned lavender and BMolinari with heart and work, im guessing that means Nick did not have as much "heart" or work ethic. lol maybe im just reading too much in lines. lol
 
yep you are reading too much into it......since Nick cam to PCS late I did not know him as well as the other two.....still a very talented player for sure.....age has nothing to do with it...
 
oh ok. i was just trying to see if any meaning between lines lol. i disagree ,age is a big deal, thats y analysts make big deal when a TRUE freshman does well and etc. A year makes difference not only for player getting bterr himself but also physically over other players and it just makes a huge difference in my opinoin, but anyways, i remember seeing a game against putnam county and i thought your top players at time were
1)Nick
2)BMolnari
3) Rogy I think name was but he didnt start which was odd
4) then pg, hartman i think
then after that not much talent, i thought u guys did well for few talented players. Bmolinari and Nick were only college caliber players and u all beat a good team with probably 3 college players or so i thought maybe. long time ago i cant remember now lol.age makes a difference now for me, i cant remember what i had for breakfast anymore! i used to be able to remember everything! lol

Did Lavender and Nick play college ball? and is BMolinari planning on going? (im guessing its D3 or WIU)

Nic is not in the same category as Lavender and Billy...it isn't even that close for a multitude of reasons but I don't think this board is the place for it.
 
ok i respect your opinion, but y not the board place for it? isnt that point of board? if not u can message me, isnt there private messaging in this place? so go ahead if u want to use that
