Mike Nadel gone

As a Bradley fan, I never cared to read about anything other than Bradley. So I never read Nadel. And I no longer read the PJStar unless Reynolds gets linked on here.

To be fair to KW, he has written a lot in support of the Bradley Student Section at the games. So I give him credit for that. Not saying that anyone else has to ;)

Troubled times for writers

Troubled times for writers

Nadel might be the first of many cut-backs as newspaper readership declines in light of on-line, real time forums and news distribution. At some point this will hit home with PJS writers as well.

So will newspapers keep beat writers or opinion writers?

If the newspaper were just news, I might subscribe.

Nadel did his job well. He wrote to aggravate the readers. KW tries to immitate him and does a good job.

It's all about revenue. My theory is that newspapers will realize that people are increasingly getting their news on the Net and 24X7 t.v. coverage, and evolve into opinion / editorial / specialty papers. The real dinosaur is going to be the 10 o'clock news....who waits for the sports anchor to read the scores anymore??
