I'll be there in my orange and blue, hoping those d-bags and their scum bag coach get the shock of a lifetime. It'll be like DRU and Larry Eustachy.

SunTimes reports that Illinois AD Ron Guenther is very satisfied with Bruce
Weber and is about to extend Weber's contract by a reported several extra years! beyond the 2012 that he's already signed through.

This always seems to happen about a year or two before a guy gets fired.................I'll never understand

(signifies sinking ship )

I told my wife on the way into to the BU Women's game, I thought UIUC would win today. Lot of weird crap going on this weekend. Mich St? Vandy? StLouis (sorta)? Now UIUC?

Illini lose and senior Randle did his part in costing them the win taking a bad three with 10 secs left..He's been in college for five years...he should be much smarter than he is

GEEEEEEZ!!! This game was there for the taking by Illinois! Wow! Well, a sensational effort by the Illini, but they just could not quite pull it out.

Oh, noticed the tepid handshake between Weber and Sampson at the end. They must be slowly bonding! :D

Ended up being a great game, Indiana wins by four. Illinois went cold in the middle of the second half and that really did them in. They had a nine-minute plus stretch without a field goal.

I missed all the 1st 1/2 and beginning of 2nd 1/2.... anyone know why Chester did not play. And - no Chester and a decent effort, maybe addition by subtraction? Hmmmm.

Illinois really competed today; they were probably better off without Frazier; what the heck is Randle shooting a 3 for at the end of the game?

The play was designed for Meach but was well defended. Randle had the ball and took the shot. The game was lost in the 2nd half doldrums that this team has floated into all season long. IL loses by 3 to the 10th rated team in the country on their home court. Not a bad showing.

While this season is pretty much a goner, good things are starting to happen. McCamey is looking more comfortable at the 1. Holdren added some spark off the bench after a long absence. Tis got some real good schooling from DJ that will let him know what a B10 post is supposed to look like.

I expected worse.

Our biggest problem is missed free throws. Think of all the games we could win if we could just hit our free throws. That, and our bigs are always getting into foul trouble. I was sure that Pruitt would foul out after he picked up his fourth with 12 minutes remaining in the game. If we can keep it this close on the road, I think a hostile, angry crowd at the real Assembly Hall can propel us to a win. I actually e-mailed coach McClain this week begging him to urge the guys to win this game. I hate Indiana, and if they went 0-30, it would be a dream come true.
