Duke Line

My buddies ran the Molinarmy in the late 90s-early 00s, and we did that all the time. I wrote some of the player captions -- apparently, that died when the Molinarmy was buried.

Yeah those were fun times. I definitely miss those days where the Molinarmy would whip the crowd into a frenzy with those player chants.

Maybe the Red Sea can use some of their ideas. :)

The only thing that keeps this score close is if Coach K calls off the dogs early.

I'm not sure if he ever does that. Demanding 110% from his players every minute, even when it does not make sense builds the tough mentality needed overcome adversity when championships are on the line.

Duke will do what it takes to insure their rating, status and RPI is protected as much as possible after the BU game.

I suspect it won't be pretty, but that's ok as long as we see effort, hustle, and bb smarts by BU. We can start by making FT's, and, eliminating uncontested turnovers, and blocking out during FT's

Unfortunately, really really good players can make good players look awfully awfully bad.

Only if its the springboard to a great rest of the season for us. Otherwise it could end up as a short bit about the low point in Dukes second great season it a row.

Without looking at specific numbers......86-52 came to mind last night. I'll look at things in the morning and adjust accordingly.

I think -28 is a interesting line, not sure BU can score 50 in the game. No under/over listed but figure they are looking at a 78-50 final score.

I'd take Bradley and 28. We will surprise.

DC, let us know how much $$$ you win tomorrow night taking BU and the points!

I don't bet so I am not real knowledgeable about the subject. Isn't a betting line set by bookmakers to try and achieve a balance of those betting for or against a team to win?
As more gamblers take the 28 points, oddsmakers lower the points to get more gamblers to wage more money with the team giving the points.

As such, doesn't a betting line reflect how gamblers see the difference in the teams, not necessarily how some basketball experts break down the teams?

I said "I'd take Bradley and 28". That is if I liked to wager. I am not a betting man, so I won't actually be putting any money on it.
We'll see if that would have been a good idea.
Any spare change I have, I spend on this board! :)

Regardless of what the line is, you know the program is not in a good spot when many are considering a successful game to be one where we keep Duke from covering...
