bradley vs eastern

I don't get it, this was a game to play big, he told us we would play big more this season, this was a game to play big, Anthony Thompson comes in and misses one shot and is yanked, plays only two minutes.

Starts four guards...
This was a game to play big.

I've never seen a game like this from Sam, he must have been playing hurt.
We've got so many guards, why not rest Sam this game.

Come on Coaches, get it together!

9 years of lip service...

Haven't you noticed?

And he says they weren't ready to play or warmed up well...

WHOS FAULT IS THAT COACH?!

YOU get the team ready to play

YOU call the plays

YOU make the substitutions

YOU YOU YOU!!

As one of the biggest Les defenders on here, all I can say is this loss is on him! I'm not at all saying that his coaching lost the game for the team, or that he's the one on the court actually playing. But this team was most obviously unprepared tonight, or fundamentals are not being stressed enough in practice.

However, I will even give him the benefit of the doubt on those points. Maybe he does lecture fundamentals all the time. Then it comes down to recruiting, which unfortunately right or wrong goes back to the chief recruiter, the coach.

Something happened here tonight that needs to be known. In order to fix the problem, we need to know why this team came out so sluggish tonight, because this is a game we have ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE LOSING on our home court with a veteran team, even short one player. Every player and coach needs to look in the mirror this weekend and ask themselves if they are truly satisfied with this effort or if they really want to make the effort to prove themselves a good team. Apparently there are players who don't, and they don't need to be playing right now. Simple as that.

If the team wants to show that this was fluke loss, then outside of Duke, we need to run the table the rest of the non-conference season. That includes winning at W. Carolina and at home against a very strong Detroit team later in December. And if that means shooting 3 pointers and FT's and running fast break drills for four hours a day after tomorrow, so be it.

We have our work cut out for us, that's all I can say!

if anyone would read anything i posted after the quincy game i said what was everyones opinion if les was 500 or worse after the non con if he should be fired (i get crap for even making this coment) then i have optimism and get crap for that is this how all you guys are i'm sick of hearing it we are all fans and have our own opinion. I have wanted him fired for two years now if this doesn't do it i don't know what will. I don't care that he is a bu legend he was a legend for being a player not a coach as a coach he has a sweet 16 and that is it. We have good players on this team they should be better than this the only thing i can think of anymore is les isn't motivating them enough to even care anymore!

amen!

FIRE LES ASAPPPPPPPP. I am thoroughly embarrassed to be a Bradley fan right now. We are the laughing stock of the Valley and mid major basketball right now. Absolutely embarrassing.

Jason

At the risk of being called someone with an agenda, our 2nd unit should beat EIU.

At the risk of risk of being called someone with an agenda, we should NEVER lose at home to EIU. Regardless of circumstance. Ever.

At the risk of being called someone with an agenda, the last guy got fired because his teams couldn't shoot, couldn't score, and were losing games at home to teams like EIU (I believe it was UT-Arlington in Mo's final year).

At the risk of being called someone with an agenda, this is right in line with the last decade of BU basketball - big wins followed by mind-boggling defeats - the true sign of mediocrity.

If we call out the staff or 'system' we have an agenda, if we call out the players we're bad people because they're just college kids. So I guess I have to ask, who do we hold accountable?

Really? Please. This loss is embarrassing and things are clearly not right, right now. But we are not the laughing stock of the Valley, nor mid major basketball. We are a middle of the pack mid major and a middle of the pack Valley team in a bad Valley. If you are going to make a point, at least be reasonable.

An agenda...haven't you heard? We all have one

Mine is actually to get a decent coach in here that doesn't like to me and tell me he craps rainbows and sunshine when I know differently!

Heck even the prior coach won a title and I can't and could never stand him! Sadly, he's looking good right about now

BB its on the team and the coaches....

The problem I have with calling out a player, is when it is simply NOT deserved...tonight Sam played horrible...and if those that were breaking down AW should be on here asking why Sam is playing...quite frankly Sam is allowed a bad game every once in a while and so is AW...but we need others to step up when that happens...

No problem from me telling it like it is...but there are ways to say things...

Jim Les should be fired tonight. Enough is enough.

Put Jim Platt in charge and see what happens.

Most disastrous loss many years.

Na western Carolina loyola siu last year. I don't like firing a coach in season, but Bradley has become a stale program and the players know it. This season smells ALOT like mo's last year.

Congrats to EIU....they clearly wanted it more than we did and played aggressive ball on both ends and derserved the W'! Tonight we did not deserve to win...played without purpose or heart, bad recipe for disaster.....12/23 asst/ to's says it all!

An in-season firing is an awful, awful suggestion. And not fair to anyone. There are 24 games and a conference tournament left. At that point we'll know what, if anything, needs to happen at the top.

Those 24 games are just delaying the inevitable. This type of play is becoming a definition of a Jim les coached team. His message, his teams effort and the enthusiasm for Bradley basketball has all become dull boring and stale. Unless he has a miracle in his 4 guard offense, early march will end his tenure.

Where is Thom Brennaman when you need him?

"This is a RECIPE FOR DISASTER!" :D

I have already planned to forgo the tournament this year and I LIVE in STL...that's how awful this has become!

I was planning on booking my hotel this weekend and had just started a thread on how much the tickets were gonna be this year I may still go because I am taking my dad (My mom passed away this fall) and he is looking forward to it but I don't want to see us one and done this year
