Appalling grenade?

srw is the one who called it an "appalling grenade". What is the purpose of a grenade? It is lobbed from a distance, and intended to do the maximum amount to maim and damage. srw is correct. It is intended to do as much harm as is possible. I stand by my impression above, and anyone who thinks it is responsible reporting is either naive, or on the same side as KW, IMO.

Da Coach..

I was talking about the Looch saying we couldnt win four games in 4 days, but apparently the coaching change was the more relevant part of the discussion to others.

I think its going to be hard to win 4 in 4?

This is two articles in 3 days speculating strongly that a change is coming. The university could end all the speculation real quick if they wanted to. All they need to do is come out and make a statement that he's returning. Anyone ever ask themselves why they haven't?

Honestly, I don't think the university really cares about one man's opinion in a blog (which very few will read) or his article (which was still kind of vague). Plus, I imagine The Prez is enjoying this just a little and waiting to see if there is any public reaction before deciding if it's worth making a statement.

My opinion, I don't believe we will see a public statement by Bradley since it might make them look bad if they do go a new direction after this season. Let's face, what Wessler said is not something new. It's what a large percentage of Bradley fans already feel; he's simply stating the obvious. What happens over the next few weeks will probably seal Les' fate. Late season collapse -- see ya! Miracle finish -- one more year.

What exactly is "responsible reporting" Da Coach? Last I checked Wessler was paid by the PJS to elicit reaction and sell papers. It would only be "irresponsible" if he was being paid by Bradley. Snell has a responsibility to BU, Wessler does not.

Obviously, it's beyond unlikely...

But in my opinion, they need a perfect storm of making almost all of their free throws, good perimeter shooting, real good perimeter defense and/or "fool's gold" of missed 3s by their opponents, and a path to Sunday of being the 10 seed and playing 7 Drake, 2 Missouri St. and 3 UNI and hoping that Wichita spits out the bit along the way. This may sound weird but Wichita and of all teams Southern Illinois are the two that scare me the most down there...

But IF IF IF the most unlikely scenario happens since Fairfield about 15 years ago, I can't wait to see it...:D

Doubt that Bradley buys out his contract as it would take around 840,00 to do so from what I have heard, more then likely he will be back with an either win or leave after next season, this is per speculation on my part after talking with several people that know a lot about what is going on at BU as far as monetary issues.

So other than to his bosses at the PJS, KW is not responsible to anything? At the very least, he is responsible to the truth. A reporter is irresponsible if they report things that are not factual, especially when it can be damaging. And suggesting that a coach's days are numbered is tremendously damaging to his and his staff's ability to recruit.

Should the President make a change now, because the Journal has called for it? I accept your premise that the recruiting is now going to be damaged. Shouldnt Bradley react before they allow the recruiting to get hurt?

Surely you can't be serious.

I guess you feel the USA should have capitulated to the Japanese after Pearl Harbor?
Or maybe we should institute Sharia law and allow the Imams to rule the US because we might be hurt by more 9-11s?

quote from Kirk Wessler...
"And yes, they reminded us why Jim Les??™ days remaining as head coach likely number fewer than 20"

I guess I'm in the small percentage of Bradley fans that don't feel this statement is so obvious.

In my world....I want to win the 1st game in the Valley tourney.....then and only then worry about the 2nd game!

I am confused Da Coach, are you saying that the Tokyo Star and Al Jazeera called on Presidents FDR and Bush to have a

+- of 20 days after the attacks on Oahu and New York?

If so I am glad that we didn't give in.

a very LARGE percentage of Bradley fans also knew their reporting of John Wilkins' signing with Iowa State was horribly irresponsible and erroneous...
same goes for their reporting that BW used the "N" word in front of the
Chicago coaches, and many other things they have been dead wrong on --
but I have seen little to convince me that being right is their goal...
being controversial and selling papers maybe, but not being right.

BTW -- I think the coverage by the PJ Star is in serious need of a change of direction..and the countdown has begun...

I heard that Wilkins did verbal to the Cyclones because of unfair pressure and then his dad un-did the verbal.

is BW Bruce Weber?
