ISU is cold and has only 4 points 10 minutes into the game at Drake...
Drake isn't exactly hot, but are up 13-4...

starters Kellen Thornton, Dinma Odiakosa, Osiris Eldridge, Alex Rubin, and Lloyd Phillips are a combined 1-13 thus far and 0-8 from 3pt

16-6 under 7 min to go 1st half...ISU might still be in single digits in the 2nd half at this pace..

I gotta leave in a few minutes, so I will have to check back later....gotta go coach more indoor winter soccer

ISU down 35-15 announcers said it was a season low for one half for ISU. Looks like we got lucky catching drake at home when we did.

Stats-
ISU-

Kellen Thornton 8 points
Alex Rubin 3 points
Dinma Odiakosa 2 points
Jackie Carmichael 2 points
ISU 7 for 24 (29%), 1-9 from three (11%)
ISU 15 rebounds (Odiaosa 4)

Drake-
Adam Templeton 14 points
Josh Young 8 points
Ryan Wedel 7 points
Frank Wiseler 3 points
Ben Simons 2 points
Aaron Hawley 1 point
Drake 14-31 (45.2%), 6-18 from three (33.3%)
Drake 20 rebounds (Templeton 9)

this is rediculous....

this can amuse me while i figure out how to get to peoria as my flight out of Atlanta was just cancelled.....ARGHHHHH

The last 5 minutes was a foul-fest by ISU just so they could get more possessions and pad their stats.

hahahahahaha... ya I mean why try to extend the game... just to pad their stats...thats the only rational reason... thats a joke and you know it... your better then that

I think that we are in a part of the schedule where we can make a run with ISU kind of struggling now. I don't think SIU is that good, but it will be tough to win at their place, but if we get that one then our next 6 include 2 with Evansville, 2 with IL. St., and 2 home games with Drake and Creighton. All those game look winnable to me if we play like we did against MSU. The last 4 look tough with 2 road games and Wichita and UNI coming here, but until that point if we reach our potential, now is a chance to make a run!

given the intentional design ISU had to go out and select the worst, 300+ RPI opponents, just to pad their win total...
why is it so odd they might want to keep all the starters in a game that's already lost just inflate a few stats when that's all that's left to do in an otherwise embarrassing defeat?

I offer just this...
with 55 seconds left and ISU behind by 15 points...
OE was still launching 3-pointers...

When BU was up by that in the 2nd half yesterday -- they had Ryan Phillips and the gang in the game...

Eldridge also jacked yet another 3-pt attempt with 24 seconds left and behind 13..
seriously - is there ever game when maybe Blake Mishler and Matt Coates can get some PT??
I guess not when King O is getting rewarded with all 20 minutes in the 2nd half after that 1sty half performance......
