2026 and beyond recruits

Illinois definitely recruited way, way over Rodgers.... even before his injury
...he didn't start a single game as a freshman,
then when his role would have expanded after his sophomore year, they recruited WAY over him and brought in
All American caliber guys Jakucionis, Boswell then Wagler all of whose production dwarfed what Rodgers had put out.
Both of Rodgers' injuries in 2024 and then in summer of 2025 occurred after they had already recruited over him.
I don't think they went out and got Wagler in July of 2025. Wagler committed almost a year before the injury that knocked Rodgers out for 2025-26.

He started 38 games as a Soph on an Elite 8 team, and then was hurt two straight seasons.

No one anticipated Wagler starting, in fact his Dad thought he would redshirt.

Loofe had a 15 point game against us in Myrtle Beach year before last and thought he looked pretty good then.
agree- his numbers are like Meta's- not flashy but consistently put up 6, 8 or 10 with 6 or 8 reb and a couple blocks.
But it all boils down to DOES HE WANT TO BE HERE, PLAY FOR BRADLEY AND HELP US WIN!

In listening to that WMBD Radio interview with Coach Wardle, it's pretty obvious that getting guys who are the right fit,
and who want to play for our coaches and our system
takes precedence over what they guy's numbers were.

You need to have both, I would take a center that is capable of scoring 15 points on any given night and ave. at least 6 to 7 rebounds a game. I believe scoring on ave. 9 points a game would be suffcient.

On Bradley's two MVC Tournament Champion/NCAA teams in 2019 & 2020, Bradley had a center who scored 5.7 ppg and 6.2 ppg.

I'm waiting in anticipation for who we get as a center! I didn't realize center's are getting offered 3.5 million! What can we afford to pay? I wish I had Insider information! Coach has listed many potential centers on this 2026 and beyond recruiting sight for Bradley! Do we think one of these names will come soon? Could we be in for a surprise? Is Brian Wardle looking for an International center also? I can't wait to see who we end up recruiting!!!!!

Bradley was in contact with-
D1 portal- Joshua Ibukunoluwa - a 6'10" sophomore forward at High Point University. He is originally from Perth, Australia and played in the Australian NBL pro league with the Willetton Tigers. He also attended Orangeville Prep in Ontario, Canada. He has played limited minutes in his 2 seasons at High Point.

Davion Hannah, Darius Hannah's younger brother who was extremely highly rated is in the transfer portal
after a very disappointing season at Alabama - 3ppg, 2 rpg, possibly suggesting he isn't P-5 caliber.
but he could get a redshirt for 2025-26, altho he did play a tiny fraction beyond the 30% limit. (32% of their games)
I hope he'd consider a midmajor but then, they never do...he'll transfer for the biggest price again and average 3 ppg again.

I wouldn’t read too much into Davion’s freshman stats. He only played the first 10 games then got hurt (fell on his tailbone) and then was out with some undisclosed illness so I would expect him to get a redshirt. Nate Oats actually talked extraordinarily positively about his defense, so it did not seem like they wanted him to leave.
