2026 and beyond recruits

New name-
D2 portal- Kyle Grill- 6'6" junior guard at D2 Fort Hays State University. He averaged 13.3 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 44.7% FG%, and 33.3% 3ptFG%.

Kyle Grill interview- www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8ht4rXZ6Yw
The few videos I could find show that he is skilled and very athletic, appears to defend well, and likes to dunk the ball.
Is this the type of big guard who can defend that Coach Wardle was talking about? (see the "Quotes from Coach Wardle on rebuilding the 2026-27 roster" thread).

Bradley has also been in contact this week with portal transfer Sam Walters. He is a 6'9" junior forward at SMU. He is a former 4-star. Top 100 recruit from Oxford, Florida, and played his freshman season at Alabama, his sophomore season at Michigan, and his junior season in 2025-26 at SMU.
He's never found much playing time at those schools, in part due to multiple injury issues, and he's back in the portal for a 3rd time looking for a destination where he can play a bigger role.

No Idea the level of interest on either end...but I really like adding him....hes big, can shoot it, has played against top tier athleticism.

Like I said...prob wouldnt be the main option on the team...but he's a solid piece to have.....wonder what his expectations are or level of interest is

Kyle is Caleb Grill's younger brother, who just won the G league Championship with the Greensboro Swarm. Caleb played at UNLV and Iowa State for Coach Otz, before finishing his career at Mizzou where he earned SEC 6MOTY honors

Bradley recruited the older brother, Caleb, who was an outstanding shooter. He and his family really liked Bradley, but then they got an offer from Iowa State and couldn't turn it down. Caleb had a 6-year college career because of the Covid year and a redshirt year, and went through three portal transfers. He signed as a free agent with the Chicago Bulls, and played with the G-League Windy City Bulls, and now with the Greensboro Swarm.

Newest Bradley commit- Kyle Grill bio- https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/kyle-grill/8874
Kyle is a strong, physical wing/guard who is capable of defending big guards and small forwards. That fits with the kind of player Coach wardle discussed in his latest interview with the PJ Star's Dave Eminian.
In addition, Kyle is an excellent ball handler, passer, and shooter.

Who's next? 🤣
Are you reading this thread? :)
I can't say for sure, but there's a good chance it'll be someone mentioned here. I guarantee there will be more, and there will be big men we are all coveting. So, keep your eyes here...

Some new names-
D1 portal- Karl Poom- 6'8", 230 pound sophomore forward at Northern Arizona University. He is originally from Estonia and played on the U-20 National Team. and spent 2 seasons playing with pro teams in Italy. He spent his freshman season at San Francisco University, but only played limited minutes in 10 games. He transferred to Northern Arizona a year ago, and this season as a sophomore, he was NAU's 3rd leading scorer (8.9 ppg), and 4th leading rebounder (3.3 rpg) coming off the bench.

D1 portal- Andrija "Mili" Vukovic- 6'11", 270 pound sophomore forward at Oklahoma State Univ. He was born in the capital city of Podgorica, Montenegro, but moved to Belgrade, Serbia in 2018. He didn't play much as a freshman, but he showed significant improvement and played a much bigger role, mostly off the bench, this season.

D1 portal- Assane Diop- 6'9", 210 pound forward/center at University of San Diego. He is originally from Senegal. He played his freshman year at Colorado, and the last 2 years at San Diego. But USD just changed coaches and hired J.R. Blount, and Assane entered the portal. He played his junior and senior years of high school in Denver and was a Top 100 recruit, and rated #74 in the country by ESPN. and a 4-star recruit by other recruiting services.

Bradley recruit Braylon Roman is visiting U. of San Diego this weekend.
He has offers from Bradley, UNI, UIC, San Diego, Georgia Southern, Wofford, Jacksonville, Southern U., Milwaukee, Old Dominion, Louisiana-Monroe, U. of Louisiana, SEMO, and Central Michigan.
Braylon Roman commits to University of San Diego-

Good luck to him. San Diego is in another full rebuild after 19 straight years without a winning record in the West Coast Conference.
They just hired Iowa State assistant J.R. Blount, and he will need to rebuild their roster that has been virtually depleted by the portal.

Are we involved with any transfer players that can play center because we are in desperate need of a decent one. They would get plenty of playing time at Bradley. Anybody have any linked names to us.

Huh? If you scroll up just 2 posts, I just posted about 3 D1 transfer big men. And there are others that have been posted in the last few days such as Sam Walters, Collin Kuhl, Kraig Gilbert, etc.

We could use a few big men. One center and a PF that could fill in at center. Gustavo could be that guy if healthy.

New names-

D1 portal- M.J. Thomas- 6'8" sophomore forward at University of New Orleans. He is from Denton, Texas. He averaged 11 points & 8 rebounds as a freshman in 2024-25. This season, he averaged similar numbers (11 ppg, 8 rpg)

D1 portal- Kilian Brockhoff- 6'9", 235 lb junior forward at William & Mary College. He is originally from Germany. He played his freshman season at UC-Santa Barbara, then played his sophomore year at Saint Louis, before transferring to William & Mary this year. He played limited minutes his first two years, but this year at Wm & Mary, he was a starter and averaged 10.7 ppg, 3.6 rpg, and shot 32.3% from three.

If I were to guess Thornbrue could be our center with Gustavo as a backup. That would give Gustavo time to get up to speed since he has not played for a year or so
Thornbrue I do not see as a center. We have 4 rides left and lots of players in the portal to choose from, we cannot allow ourselves to make a mistake at this position.

This new name that Bradley has been in contact with might surprise some fans-
D1 portal- Connor Turnbull- was rated a 4-star recruit in high school at Fort Zumwalt North HS in O'Fallon, MO. He played his first 2 years at Butler, but he didn't play much his freshman season. His sophomore season was cut short after 9 games with an elbow injury. He left and transferred to Evansville, where he played the last 2 seasons. He had a good junior season and was named the MVC Defensive Player of the Year. But his senior season was plagued by injuries, and he only played in 16 games and was never 100%. But despite his injuries, he averaged 11.2 ppg and 6.1 rpg. He should get a redshirt for his sophomore season, and would have one more season of eligibility.
