Yuba won again last night to go to 13-2, but it wasn't easy. They nearly squandered a 30 point lead on their home court to Solano in their Bay Valley Conference opener. Yuba is ranked #5 in California in the last poll, and was ranked #18 in the country in a preseason poll.

Former BU recruit Xavier Crawford began the year as a starter, but is playing less as some of Coach Cornelius' freshmen have come on strong.

Xavier Crawford returned to play last night with a vengeance. Yuba beat Napa Valley 106-56 to go to 14-2, 2-0. Napa is now 9-9.

Here are a couple clips from the article below--
Led by the solid play of point guard Mayse Walker and the dominating post play of 7-foot center Xavier Crawford, the 49ers turned an eight-point halftime lead into a laugher in the second half....
Crawford led the way early.............
Crawford finished with 15 points and 17 rebounds.

man i hope XC makes his way into a Bradley jersey. I was disappointed when he failed to qualify. Sounds like he has only gotten better too

I don't think we are going after X any longer. I really don't think he fits with us very well with DC and AT on the roster next year.

Yes, Jim Les confirmed Bradley is no onger recruiting Xavier Crawford on his weekly radio show back on November 19, 2007. A caller called in and asked about XC. Jim, who is constrained by NCAA rules from commenting about recruits other than to say whether they are or are not recruiting him, said they are not.

The couple factors that changed this are the signings of Will Egolf and Anthony Thompson, and the fact Ray Brown, who was Xavier's good friend from high school, had left the Bradley team.

It sounds like Xavier is making some improvements and has a good chance to get a scholarship to a good Division I school next year.

Jucojunction lists these schools as following XC--
Minnesota, Missouri, Tennessee, and Wyoming.
