Why not Jay Spoonhour?

I see a lot of names thrown around and people poke holes in their resumes for various reasons, but one name that should get a long look is Jay Spoonhour -- son of Charlie.

He seems to have all of the prerequisites:
He's well connected all across the country and has stints at BCS schools, mid-majors and in the junior college ranks.

He's been a head coach on an interim basis at UNLV and currently as a JC guy.

He'll fit the price range and has been around some very successful teams.

Is young enough to relate to players, and old enough to know better.

I agree...I have heard lots of good things about him..he has a great win/loss record at the JC level. should be considered...

Spoonhour is not the only good juco coach. There are numerous great juco coaches who can also recruit well (they have to reload virtually every year).
Doug Cornelius is one who will get a D1 job someday, but I don't expect BU to hire him or any juco coach.
