Why does the NCAA have all the floors look the same?

I know it isn't that important, but I don't like how the NCAA has gone with a standard floor design for the Sweet 16 round. All of the floors look the same. I think this takes away from the color and visibility of the home arena and makes all the games look the same visually.

Again, not all that important. Just wonder if anyone knows why this is. This is the first year I recall them doing this for this round. They've always had a special floor for the Final 4, but I think this is new for the regionals.

Probably along the lines of .....

'we don't want any team feeling intimidated playing in so-n-so's arena with their big giant logo on the floor' ...

So it has been sterilized.

You are probably right MM..... I think they are trying to sterilize and make the arenas the same. I think it loses something though.... having the home arena of the host team or conference looks much better.....

The MVC was the "Host" conference for this Regional, and each of the MVC schools had the opportunity to get some reserved seats....I was offered some, but declined.
So the MVC logo on the Ed Jones Arena floor was there by DESIGN not because it was "left over",
since no MVC team ever plays on the Ed Jones floor and that's not where the MVC Tourney was held.
