Why Didn't Les Talk to the Team

Think about it. If you're trying to keep all your current players from transferring, why would you let a potentially disgruntled former coach talk to them?

I'm sure, as they were negotiating severance, there were terms laid out about who he can and can't talk to.

When you fire someone in an office, you typically escort them out of the building. This is the same thing...just on a more public scale.

Jim did not talk to the players after he was fired, and has not contacted them since being fired.

For those that have no idea what SOP is - Standard Operating Procedure

or how about boiler plate contract information

The posters can't be that un-knowledgeable or can they? ;-)

You would think there is a turnip truck parked outside of Carver.

The parting situations of Mo and JL have both been tough.

I hope he comes back soon, although like

KK and Broski (Mo)

JG and MC (JL) probably will take the next regime

I deal with boiler plate contracts, so nothing I haven't already heard. :)

Oh that would be the typical BU MO. They have had a class problem for years.

Really? I thought that the men's basketball and soccer teams two of BU's biggest sports program, especially the coaches have carried themselves with a ton of class. Please elaborate. There are some individuals that treat the institution as a business but I have not seen any problems on how they have conducted themselves. I may not like what has transpired or how it happened but to say there is a lack of class is a stretch.

Business though can be quite cold. :-o

I agree with you completely about the coaches and the sports programs. It's the administration that has a class problem.

Didn't see anyone question the meaning of SOP. We all don't live in Loma Linda.

Dr. Cross wasn't aware until after the firing what an impressive player Les was, and hadn't seen the highlights. Maybe they are not aware he's in the bu hall of fame? Sure seems like it the way they are treating him post-dismissal. BU blew an opportunity to handle this in a professional way and keep the family aspect of the culture in tact.
