Where's Milos?

He's a good shooter, but seems lost on the defensive end. A good example game before Wichita State was got pinned behind a bigger twice in a minute span and picked up 2 quick fouls. I was watching the stream from the game last night and Milos was the player interview at halftime and they asked him the hardest thing adjusting from High School to College basketball and he said not having any free time between Basketball, classes, practices, tutoring and learing all the plays. Coach Les always asks/jokes around with him in practice asking him if he even learned any plays in High School or if they were just 'Hoopin'. He seemed to admit not knowing all the plays and still learning. Maybe he warrants PT when he knows all the plays.
 
I thought it was interesting last night at the end of the 2nd half, Les replaced Egolf with DSE and CB was less then enthused about the change.

Snell made the off handed comment of Milos subbing in because he has unlimited range and CB chuckled and said he did but pretty much dismissed any appearance by Milos.

We need shooters and Milos is a shooter I have to assume there is a deeper reason then defense that he is not playing.

I think Les did that so Will didn't pick up a stupid 5th foul, so I can see the purpose there...

That being said, once again like a broken record, we should never EVER be playing a combo of Maniscalco-McCain-Singh at the same time or a combo of Singh-McCain-Eastman at the same time.


Thats part of why I feel like Edge should get a nod with the starters, simply because he doesn't need to score with them, and then it allows Sammy to be an extra threat when Singh and Eastman are in the game.

We should never put more than 2 players on the floor at a time that aren't a major threat to score.

I still think a major part in this team getting better is figuring out the proper rotations for players.


On Milos, I don't know what the reason is, but like I said last night, if the best pure 3-pt shooter on the team can not get off the bench against a team that was clearly killin it against us in the zone, then when will he play?!
 
I was very impressed with TB's play all around....besides a few things.

-It seemed like he couldn't go inside at all. I mean against a big SIU team he was dominant...but against "big" ISU oafs (no offense) they were just rejecting him lol.

+He looked like more of a pass first player last night....he was looking for the open man frequently...hence the 5 assts. I liked that

+He was beasting the boards.

-Some of his pass happiness led to bad passes...but a few were just trying to thread the needle....atleast he can see the opportunities.

I liked it though :)

CB essentially didnt think,and I am paraphrasing here, that DSE couldnt handle the pressure. As soon as he said that he back tracked, but point was he did not like DSE in the game with it on the line with him having to possibly make fts. Inbounds pass went to DSE and he ended up shooting ft's. Baby cried here no idea what he did with the fts, but box says 1-2. All of this was off of an inbounds infront of the ISU bench very late in the 2nd half.

I have no idea if we had a better option on the bench to replace Egolf, since we really have only 3 players capable of being consistant ft shooters. I guess DSE was a better option the Eastman.

Missed the first, made the 2nd...

But I felt like Will was taken out when he was because of his 4 fouls as we couldn't afford to lose him at this point, and he was taken out while we were about to go on D.
