I thought Sergio was the "2nd-Coming" as player/coach of this team.

"... Sergio McClain, whose contract was not renewed after a tumultuous first season as player/coach."

--and then--

" McClain participated in the team's tryout camp in August, but was cut."

Considering the huge turnover in the ABA franchises, just the fact that they are still in existence for their 2nd season is a small victory. It sounds like some of the players from last year also were not willing to come back unless changes were made.

I would give them 1 more year before they fold.

New owners, they wanted to "go in a different direction" and several players had said they wanted to see a "different direction" before they would return this year.

The new owners have done ONE thing right, as they have Marcello Robinson on the roster.
Finally a guy I as a Bradley fan would actually pay to see!!!!
They could use even a little more Bradley flavor...HIRE DANNY ADAMS & JJ TAUAI!!!!

"The Kings roster lists 13 of 15 players from the former Mid-State 6 Conference. They are Bobby Anderson (Central), Ericson Beck (Central), Willie Coleman (Manual), Calvin O'Neal (Richwoods), Ahmid Palmer (Central), David Roos (Manual), Chris Tarpley (Pekin), Jermaine Wallace (Woodruff), Wesley Weatherspoon (Woodruff), John Little (Richwoods), Quentin Edwards (Central), Chris Tillman (Central) and Julian Jones (Richwoods). ... Monmouth product Jake Sottos, who played a key role for the Kings last season, tore his ACL playing in a Gus Macker tournament and is out for the season. Pekin product Todd Peterson, who led the Kings in 3-point shooting, has an injured foot but is expected back in January. ... Former Bradley guard Marcello Robinson, employed as a social worker through Methodist Medical Center, is on the team. "

No, no, no! Do not waste their time. Let this thing die. It cannot possibly survive.

This will be the last season for the Kings; Marcello playing is a surprise as his knees are bad; there really is no one on the roster that would make you want to go plus the rules are a joke; anyone know what the ave. paid attendance per game was last season?

i would say the avg paid attendance would no joke be about 40-60 people and the average attendance would be around 200.... i have no idea how they have enough money for another season... at least they are going in the right direction by getting rid of sergio.
