Curious, what happens to all the players that didnt get picked up before the portal closes. Can schools still make offers for them? Or are the S@&t out of luck?
 
The entry into the portal ends today, so anyone not entered already, either has a commitment at their current school and are staying, or are coming from HS/JUCO/elsewhere and received an offer already. For those that entered the portal and haven't received an offer yet, they just have to keep waiting it out, and have until early November (Start of the season) to receive an offer. Its a risk, they may not receive any good offers, drop to D2, D3, Juco, sit out a year, etc.
 
entry into the portal closes, but players can still contact schools and vice versa.... the guys in the portal have two choices...

1- pick a school to play at that has a roster spot offered to you - it could be the same school you just left or any other - DI,
DII, DII, juco, NAIA or Europe
2- stay uncommitted and you will not play in 2026-27.
