What does in take to break into the Top 25?

With as few votes as we have, I don't think that beating two unranked teams would get us in to Top 25. I think to get in we're going to have to keep taking care of business then beat the first ranked MVC team that we play.

We've received votes, and the voters are respecting the Valley.

2 wins this weekend, IF one of them is Illinois, I feel confident we would be ranked. Conversely, Illinois wins over Miami and us puts them in.

But let's take care of Rutgers first. They have a couple interior players that will keep Zach at bay.

This tournament will not do it. Bradley will have to defeat Michigan State and Iowa State on the road as well, which probably means going undefeated on the non-conference slate.

My own thoughts --> I think a couple poll voters simply wanted to be in the leading edge by putting BU in their polls.
Note a few guys also have Purdue, Nebraska, Oral Roberts, BYU on their ballots, while Creighton was almost everyone's choice even to be in the top 15, and now with one loss they drop totally off the planet and get nary a vote.
These poll votes are not being that realistic, maybe more wishful.

If BU wins the Chicago Invitational this weekend. Do we rack the new poll on Monday? Just a thought. What do you guys think?

Not remotely. BU has beaten a bad DePaul team, a real bad Florida A&M team, and an extremely mediocre UIC team. If we win the tourney we will have added to the list a bottom dwelling Big East team and an Illinois team that has also beaten nobody. Not a chance the way I see it. I am not sold yet myself because we have not played any team yet that has the caliber of players and COACHES that the Valley has. They are playing well, but let's see how BU does on the road and against better competition (even better than what we will see this weekend I mean) before we put them in the Top 25.
