We Let Them Off the Hook

Out of Bounce

New member
We had our chance to put Creighton on its back last night and we just did not deliver the knock out. We did not come to play like we did Tuesday night. They had lost their last 2 conf. games and the last one at home. They were with out their leading scorer and one of their best players. We were at home. What happen:doubt:
Where was our killer instinct and our get the job done effort. This team was out of rhyme all night. I cannot fine one good element out of that game. I am not buying in that Creighton is a better team at this point than we are. They just put a total team effort into the win last night and good for them as they deserved to win:!: They just wanted it more than we did:-o Our game was never there and the team effort and toughness was not there either:!: Our Post play was non-existed. We got away from everything that got us to 4-0. Our D was not there like it should of been and on the other end we were in a perimeter passing drill and chuck a 3 as time was running out. Out of time outs at the 5 min. mark:oops: NO Bench help to speak of:roll: Missed FT on the front end of 1 & 1s.
If BU is going to make a run at the title we can not play this kind of game and do it. All we can do now is forget about last night and put a total team effort every game from here on out. Our post players have got to put people on their butts and I don't care if they foul out. Play hard **** it:!: We are not that good of a team that we can relax our effort for any game or at anytime in any game:!::mad: Were still in this, lets play like we want it:!:

OOB good post! I just do not think this team has a killer instinct. I think they may be too nice sometimes. They can learn!

What happen:?:

The answer is simple. Just read Kirk Wessler's or Dave Reynolds' regular kiss-up columns about the glorious Creighton program and the "Visionary of the Valley".

I read both columns and I to agree with you about putting salt in the wound. But on the other hand, all we had to do is come out and put Creighton away with the same effort we played with Tuesday night and we win. Then there would be none of those BS columns. I sure don't enjoy reading columns by our local writers on the success of the team that just beat us the night before.
Every game is important, but this one to me was above the others. We had a chance to go 5-0, knock Creighton almost out of the race and send a message to all the league. But we came out and played like a mediocre team. Not like one that was playing on its home court with lets get this done tonight:!: If you can't get up for this game, I am not sure what this say's about this team chances of winning the title. All we did Saturday night was give fresh air back in Creighton, raise ?'s about who we are and give writers a chance to go else where to write their columns. If we had won maybe the columns would of read;
BU puts :!: mark for the MVC Title with big win over Creighton or
BU delivers knock out punch to Creighton

We just got to pick it up from here and make a solid effort each game:!:
