Vegas info party....

Just got back from Michel Student Center. Nice little informational gathering. Everyone going got a Bradley Victory/Honor Glory book. Wasn't expecting that.

Coach Les stopped by to thank those in attendance for making the trip. He gave a brief update of the team and said he was pleased with the defensive effort and the work on the boards. He said now they were going to work a little more on some offensive details and really likes where this team is headed.

Said Dodie is doing OK but probably won't make the trip...MIGHT be at the game tommorrow. Said he's kinda liking the attention he's getting at home from mom.

Didn't catch the context but he made mention of going to "crush some orange" in Vegas. I think he was just going for the crowd reaction which he got...maybe grassman of OB74 can give more info on what he said.

Ken Goldin said alot of BU fans going.....over 200 on the planes and another 100 have called requesting tickets. Thats in addition to the countless numbers that are going on there own not using BU so I look for 500 or so, maybe more...we'll see.

Some neat give-a-ways....couple of the older fans got canes made from wood from the FH. I scored one for a patient of mine that is a huge BU fan.

Should be a great trip...GO BU.

I think the context of "crushing some orange" was in reference to both OSU and UI, who both have orange as a primary color. Just typical fan-base pre-trip banter. ;)

I think Ken Goldin said there were 270 BU fans going on the 2 charter planes. plus another 100 alums that were attending. He said it was the largest group of people to travel to a BU away game, with the exception of the trip to California for the NCAA tournament game. Just based on what I've heard and read about other BU people who were making their own travel arangements, I would agree with DRU's assessment that there will be 500 or more BU fans in attendance.

Agreed, 5 people going with me. And we haven't told anyone at BU about our plans, I'm assuming many are like me. 500+ is a good estimate IMO. OSU and Illinois do share orange, and BU and Utah share red, so it may be hard to tell how many of each group there is...

That was my thinking....alot of fans NOT going through BU for tickets.
