I have tried to get WMBD away from Peoria many times. Usually, once you are more than 30 miles away, the signal fades out pretty badly.
However, if the weather conditions are just right, occasionally, the signal will travel much farther some nights. I was able to listen to the post-game show in Chicago after the Loyola game, and this past Wednesday, I was even able to hear some of the post-game show (though barely) on my way back from Indianapolis.
So check it out and hope for the best with 1470. There are no other stations you can pick the game up on.

While traveling during the SPI tourney, I was able to pick up 1470 through most of IN and Kentucky (although in and out). I also found (there and back a week later) that WMBD came in fairly well in Chattanooga, TN. The mountains must be ideally situated to block the other, interfering 1470's...
