6’4” 265lb??! What position does he play? That’s heavy on a 6’4” frame

Charles Barkley. He could pose some problems with that kind of weight to throw around.

Just foul him before he can shoot. :)

Missouri State gets another commitment: Jalen Hampton, a 6'6" guard from South Plains College, a junior college in Levelland, Texas.
Missouri State fans are familiar with the name, because he originally committed to Dana Ford at Missouri State two years ago for the class of 2022. But when assistant coach Corey Gipson left to take the head coaching job at Northwestern State University in Louisiana, he decommitted and went to Northwestern State. He played the 2022-23 season at Northwestern State and averaged 10.2 ppg and 7.4 rpg as a freshman. He never attempted a 3-pointer, which is very unusual for a guard. Then his coach, Corey Gipson, was hired at Austin Peay, and Hampton announced he would transfer to Austin Peay. However, he instead ended up transferring to South Plains junior college. He averaged 13.1 ppg and 9.1 rpg this past season at South Plains College, and shot 15.8% from three. He has 2 years of eligibility left. - https://www.news-leader.com/story/s...-northwestern-state-south-plains/73592784007/

SIU gets a commitment from Jorge Moreno- a 6'10" sophomore forward from Lee College, a junior college in Texas. He is originally from Mexico, and spent 1 redshirt season at New Mexico State, and 2 seasons at Lee College, where he averaged 8.7 ppg and 6.9 rpg this past season as a sophomore. He shot 52% from the field, but just 48% from the FT line.

He played one season at Oklahoma Christian (D2), then one at Mount St. Mary, then last year at UTRGV, and now SIU.- https://siusalukis.com/news/2024/6/...ws-salukis-sign-transfer-guard-elijah-elliott

Here is one more 2024 Valley recruit from a few days ago...
New Drake head coach Ben McCollum has landed another one of his former players at Division II Northwest Missouri State.
Mitch Mascari becomes the 4th former Northwest Missouri State player to transfer to Drake, joining teammates Bennett Stirtz, Daniel Abreu, and Isaiah Jackson,
He is a 6'5" shooting guard from Geneva, Illinois. He redshirted his first season at NMSU, then played the last 4 seasons there, becoming a starter the last 2 seasons. He is transferring to Drake to play his Covid year, which will be his 6th year in college. He was never a high scorer for NMSU, but was a valuable player because of his 3-point accuracy.
