Valley Home Attendance

fans leaving when the game is still undecided

fans leaving when the game is still undecided

Yeah....I noticed a LOT of people leaving Sunday before the game was over. I personally don't care for that as I feel it doesn't show respect to the team to get up and leave, in masses no less, while they're still playing.

What really shocks me is fans leaving with seconds left and the outcome still undecided. I have seen it over and over...and....they don't strike me as fans who are going into the lobby to watch it on the tv sets. I just don't get it! IT IS DISRESPECTFUL~!!!!!

I guess they just don't have the extra 5-10 minutes to deal with the terrible traffic.

I assume the Mo State attendance is the largest in school history?

No, Friday's attendance of 10,008 was the second largest home crowd in the history of Missouri State basketball. The record was 10,881 set November 22nd, 2008 in the inaugural game at JQH Arena against Arkansas.

the photos in the "Photo Galley" show banks of empty seats in the student area and much of the upper level

8,618 - Indiana State @ Bradley

I feel like the Price is right show here....what combination of these numbers is the CORRECT price of the car.....

How about 6818.

I have NEVER seen so many empty seats for a conference game then what we had last nite.

Again......I don't know where else to get the numbers.

Shaunguth....I hope you don't think I'm railing you for providing these numbers. I understand you are just the messenger.....I'm just one of those that don't like mis-leading facts.

Tell us (BU NOT you) 6500 people were ACTUALLY there but we sold 8600 tickets.

In fact it doesn't matter since anyone at the game understand there were no where close to 8600 people at the game.

I just don't like these numbers becuase SOME (again not you) will use these numbers to claim BU's attendance is at an alltime high with JL as coach when infact the numbers are dwindling every game.

It hides (these mis-leading numbers) a problem (falling attendance) that needs to be addresed.

There were not 6500 people there last night. My estimate would be 8000.
There was a major winter storm alert in progress. I am sure anyone can figure out why many ticketholderrs didn't attend the game.
There were well over 10,000 at the last home game on New Years Day.
I don't think the attendance or the support for Bradley is slipping.

I actually think this season's actual attendance is the lowest I have seen in a long long time.

The NY day game was the only real solid crowd.

By the way- Missouri State is having a great season, they drew 10,008 last Friday against Illinois State, they were undefeated at home, then last night, against perhaps their biggest MVC rival Wichita State, they drew just 7,135.

I wouldn't worry about Bradley's attendance. It'll be fine.

Both upper end zones totally empty.....1/3 of each side upper bowl also empty. Numerous empty seatsa scattered all over the arena. Sorry....6500 tops. I spoke with 2 different ushers AND Hector the Beer man and all 3 agreed that its been one of the worst starts to the home season they have witnessed in a long time.

Hector said he's at about 1/2 of what he usally makes and the ushers said many of them are getting called off becuase they aren't needed....

The grumblings I am hearing from many great BU fans why not at the level of Mo's last year, are certainly sounding hauntingly familiar.

And yes, "anyone can figure out why many ticketholders didn't attend the game"......3 home collapses has many fans not willing to make the effort.

I recall much worse weather during the 86 season and 11,000 fans would show up to see the Braves.

Sorry...support is dwindling and these "mis-leading" numbers just mask a problem that needs attention.

Agreed....anyone with two good eyes can see it. It pathetic. It is as boring of a crowd as I can recall in ages.

Apathy will kill us.....

I'm not one for booing but at least you knew people were alive. :)

I understand what you're saying, but how do you "fix" selling tickets to people that will actually show up to the game? Assuming the 8,618 is the actual number of tickets sold, is there really anything that can be done to fix the "problem" by forcing those people to show up with their tickets?
