Updates on Bradley's Class of 2019 recruits

Nice to be able to watch him play. Antonio Thomas is the point guard wearing #1 in the dark burgundy color uniforms.
As noted, Prolific Prep is rated as one of the top couple prep school teams in the country. Memphis East trails 28-22 at the end of the first quarter.

Memphis East now trailing by 10 in 4th quarter - their stud Wiseman just fouled out...so game basically over..
Prolific Prep has a lot of DI starter-caliber kids including Nimari Burnett who was a stud at Morgan Park - LINK

Thomas has a very physical body - muscular, 6-2 - college-ready

Thomas played a good game, but Prolific Prep gradually pulled away to win 62-47. The game was tied 32-32 midway through the 3rd quarter. But then Prolific outscored Memphis 12-2 over the last 4 minutes of the 3rd quarter and Memphis East couldn't recover.

Veritas Prep went 2-0 today but I cannot find where Stephan Gabriel played. Since he is post-grad, sometimes he will not play if the tourney opponents are all high schoolers.

Rock Island lost 48-44 to Ottawa with JaMir Price sitting out.

Veritas won Sunday as well and ended up going 3-0 tyhis weekend but no individual stats or reports are available

Time for an update on our four man recruiting class...

First - Stephan Gabriel at Veritas...
but I am a little concerned, that he did not play in either of Veritas' last two tournaments. Now they are hyping their next big tourney - four games in four days coming up and they sent out a blurb hyping their key players to watch - and once again - no mention of Stephan Gabriel....and no mention anywhere else.
I am not saying it is time to worry but....it would be nice to see his name once again in the box scores..

Rock Island & JaMir Price play tonight at Quincy HS @7:30pm - LINK
..audio streaming - http://qcsportsnet.com/calendar/high...december-14th/
Then they play Saturday at the GENESIS SHOOTOUT on Augustana College's campus, facing both Bettendorf and then North Scott (IA)
then they are in the State Farm Classic right after Christmas in Bloomington, where they are the #3 seed in the Large School Boys Bracket

Antonio Thomas and his Memphis East team won last night vs. Whitehaven - James Wiseman had 31 pts/14 reb
Whitehaven has one of the top 2020 recruits in the nation and Memphis is heavily recruiting him.
They play again Saturday night against one of the top prep schools in Tennessee - Hamilton Heights
..and just announced - Antonio & Memphis East are in a huge event - Bass Pro Tournament of Champions January 17-19-
...they play Shadow Mt. AZ, the #8 ranked team in the nation.

Ville Tahvanainen & his HBA Marsky team are about to tip off against one of the top teams in their league JBA (Jyvaskyla) *

Ville Tahvanainen & his HBA Marsky squad come out with a great win!
Final score 76-66
Ville had 7 pts 3 asst but teammate Mikael Jantunen hit everything - he was 11-14 and had 14 FTs for 43 pts, 13 rebs

Rock Island HS defeated Chicago North Lawndale HS tonight 61-58.
Bradley commit JaMir Price was the game's leading scorer with 26 points.

Rock Island plays Wheaton Warrenville South at 8:30pm tonight at the Shirk Center

Antonio Thomas plays in the Chick-fil-A Classic tonight at 6:40pm - then also Fri or Sat if they advance - https://www.prepcircuit.com/game/sho...bseason=522618

Rienk Mast - does not play again until Jan. 3

Gabriel starts and is #24 in red

update - game is 17-17 early in 2nd qtr
Gabriel is a strong 6-6 or 6-7 with a body that looks like Elijah Childs - but he plays more on the perimeter like a big guard
He just hit a 3-pointer and looked very comfortable taking it...

Here is the direct link. As noted, Gabriel is #24 in the dark red uniforms

Veritas is missing their top scorer, so they might struggle against the team they are playing. They have some big kids and are a pretty good team.

Veritas takes a 27-23 halftime lead
lot of missed shots...
Gabriel is very athletic - he has no difficulty guarding the 6-10 guy & shutting him down
his FT shots looked good
his name on the overlay was spelled "Stefan"

Gabriel plays point guard when Molinar goes out...\he now has 11 pts midway thru 3rd qtr

Actually, Veritas primary point guard is Ismael Cruz, who did not play tonight. Stephan Gabriel played most of the game as the point guard and looked good. He made a lot of nice passes, though they didn't always lead to baskets. He has a nice outside shot, and looked good at the FT line. I think he had 15 points and several rebounds, and was very effective defending the other team's 6'11" post player who is committed to Ole Miss. And other than a very short breather in the first quarter, I think he played every minute the rest of the way after coming back in.
Veritas wins 58-54.

Here are some final stats

Veritas 58 - Legacy 54
Stephan Gabriel had 15 pts, 4 rebs, 2 asst
the guy Gabriel guarded down low, 6-11 Rodney Howard had just 6 pts and 7 turnovers!!

Rock Island is trailing 20-18 at half
