I thought I'd combine all the discussion on our 2019 recruits into a single thread

Stephan Gabriel is at Veritas Prep - but another highly touted Hillcrest kid has left there and transferred to a different prep school

Ville Tahvainen - averaging 17.9 ppg, 5.1 rpg, and 4.3 apg, and his team has won 5 straight to pull into a tie for 1st place in the win column...

Antonio Thomas - his team will be playing at the Marshall County Hoopfest - starting Nov. 29. They play Chicago Curie at 6pm Dec. 1

JaMir Price - his Rock Island team just played #3 ranked Chicago Bogan, and lost 68-54

Here's a welcome update on Bradley 2019 signee Antonio Thomas, point guard from Memphis East High School...

His team played again last night and Antonio had an awesome game -
Memphis East stayed undefeated with an 83-64 win over Raleigh-Egypt
Antonio Thomas had a double-double (13 points, 10 assists).
Antonio's teammate James Wiseman had another big night, finishing with 31 points and 24 rebounds. !!
Another teammate, Dee Merriweather had 24 points.

According to their schedule, Saturday they play Chicago Curie, one of the top ranked team in Illinois.

amazing - this is sooooo typical of the Kentucky fans who think they rule all of college basketball...

"Fans claiming to be University of Kentucky fans threatened the safety of James Wiseman over social media.
Wiseman committed to University of Memphis, over finalists UK, Florida State, Vanderbilt, and Kansas.

...Scheduled to be played in Benton, Kentucky ....social media threats concerned the Memphis East program

...Coach Holmes told PrepHoopsTN ... directly of the death threats

...Memphis East High School is indeed out and Raleigh-Egypt is in.

...East High Principal Marilyn Hillard ... confirmed Memphis East had withdrawn ...."

He scored 22 pts, 12 in the final quarter to lead his team back from a 14 pts deficit & lead them to a win over Peoria High School

He had 16 last night in a win over Galesburg

Antonio is #1 in white and gets an assist 15 seconds into the game, then starts filling the stat sheet by .....
forcing a turnover, picking up a foul and turning the ball over all in rapid succession... then hitting a jumper to give Memphis East a 9-0 lead then grabbing the next rebound.....
 
I'm not going to do any more updates since Memphis East is already blowing the game wide open
After 1st quarter - Antonio is having a great game

he has 5 pts, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and several other fine plays - teammate James Wiseman already has 5 blocks in the 1st quarter

The starters will probably get a lot of rest since they have a game tomorrow, too.

Jamir Price's game just now starting since the other team's bus was late but it's starting great for Bradley fans...
Jamir sank 2 FT before the game tipped due to Moline dunking in pre-game warmup - then Jamir nailed a 3 seconds into the game so he has all 5 of Rock Island's 5-0 lead
 
Memphis East 73 - St. Louis Christian 48 - Antonio had a very nice game - will be interesting to see his stats


in the Rock Island game, all the RI players in foul trouble...Moline is up 10 in 2nd half Price has 9 but sat much of the 1st half with fouls
 
RI battled back then their players started to foul out so Moline gets the win
Jamir fouled out - Moline wins 68-55 - RI coaches & players not real happy about the reffing
 
Antonio Thomas ended up last night with 11 pts and 11 assists plus 5 rebounds - he plays again at 4pm - should be streamed again per YouTube
Jamir Price had 15 pts but played very limited minutes due to fouls- his team plays today but JaMir won't be playing
