UNI Rumor

Yeah I spoke with JE's dad for a few minutes when I ran into him. Very jolly guy! I assume he was upset, but was gonna be friendly nonetheless. I said sorry if the student section gave them to much crap and he hopes to see us sunday in STL...I can't wait for that.

From what I hear on the UNI message board his mom is not thought of as highly. In fact, they can't stand her over there as she will come on their board and curse anyone who criticizes her son

Three games? Didn't TB get two games for "slugging" someone over the summer?

That's VERY disappointing if UNI only gives him a three game suspension! Oh well.......I guess POY's get that sort of treatment?

From what I understand UNI was simply following their written rules for student-athlete infractions. The word is that you get a suspension equal to 10% of your games for a first infraction.

Doesn't BU now have something similar?

consider this, the last two 7-footers (Evans, Eglseder) that Will Egolf has played against, were immediately suspended after Will helped BU to a "W" over them!! :)

Maybe WE's new nickname should be "Terminator" or a la Marvin Webster "The Human Eraser" as he erased humans.:)

This still can cost UNI an at-large bid if they lose to ODU Friday night. So yes, this is a VERY costly suspension for them even with him being back by the Valley tournament.

Ha! You're right! Not a very good omen for the big guys that want to play in the Valley.

One more reason why message boards are not for players parents.

Nobody was hurt so I hope that Eglseder learns from his mistake and moves on to better things.

I feel like there needs to be winning and a clean program. I myself would give our star player a few extra chances before I ruined the teams chances at succeeding...

I agree on winning and not cheating.

Regardless of the player, I would follow university athletic policy, which UNI has done here.

Doesn't matter to me what particular games he's going to miss, as long as there's a message sent. I just don't think a 3-game suspension is enough for a kid that's been drinking and driving.

Yes......I would feel the same way if a Bradley player got arrested for drinking and driving!
