Tyler Les and his Peoria Notre Dame teammates were one of the best teams at the U of I team Shootout
this past weekend....
I have several reports and some premium info....but you'll have to PM me for more...

also if you want to see a blog-type report from premium sources on this and other topics, PM me...

I just spoke personally this morning with someone who spent the whole day down in Champaign watching the games at the U of I camp...

he had a lot to say about the U of I guys...
like Jereme Richmond was so far better than anyone else at the camp, and that Meyers Leonard was the best big man at the camp...

But he also noted that Tyler Les was an outstanding shooter...quick release, able to come off screens, dribble and create shots and hit them while on the move and not just a stand-still spot up shooter.
He said many were impressed....and were likewise impressed by the skills and physique of Max Bielfeldt the PND junior whose parents and grandparents have been huge benefactors to U of I.
In fact the games were being played in a building called the Bielfeldt Complex of buildings..

Bielfeldt, if he doesn't grow more, may be faced with a choice of being an undersized center in the Big Ten, vs. going mid-major and being a fine player at that level.
He constantly outbattled and scored on bigger opponents.
Also, Bobo Drummond simply didn't try a shot beyond 15 feet, and didn't make anything from there...but is excellent on the dribble, drive, and passes...

Here's some video of Max Bielfeldt, and I believe Tyler Les is in a few of the clips, but the quality is grainy so...not sure..

anyway, Bielfeldt is a solid post player, and end of the video lists his schools of interest and couple Valley schools are noted...incl. "Witchita State".

In a premium University of Illinois Rivals recruiting article this morning,
the writer and administrator of the Illinois Rivals site lists the 2010, 2011, and 2012 recruiting targets for Illinois...

He lists and discusses Tyler Les!
http://illinois.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=953975

"Tyler Les guard 2010 Peoria Notre Dame
The son of Bradley head coach Jim Les can really shoot it and played very
well for Notre Dame on Sunday. You have to like his court savvy and he really
helps Bielfeldt gets some space to work inside."

they also list several other local players including Notre Dame's Max Bielfeldt and Central's Bobo Drummond, as well as other talented kids from around the state. PM me if you want to know more, but here are the other players discussed...
Tracy Abrams
James Siakam
Meyers Leonard
Jereme Richmond
Tracy Abrams
Antonio 'Bobo' Drummond
DeJuan Marrero
James 'Bomba' Siakam
Christian Kirk
Sam Thompson
Max Biefeldt
Jabari Parker - son of AAU legand Sonny Parker
A.J. Hammons

Tommy Hamilton, Jr - just finishing 8th grade and already rated as one of the top kids nationally
Emmanuel Ochenje
Branden Dawson

One more thing....
Rivals has now added a page for Max Bielfeldt...
http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=99316

and they list him as being recruited by Bradley

and I found yet aonther recruiting site who talks about Tyler Les...
but Tyler is definitely over 6-ft, and not 5-11

"Tyler Les 5′10” PG SR Peoria Notre Dame - Les was impressive today
displaying his excellent shooting skills. He continues to rise on the list of the
state’s top marksmen and figures to be an important part of a strong senior
backcourt alongside Nick Rochford. His outside presence stretches the floor
and opens things up for when the ball goes inside to rising post prospect Max Bielfeldt.

Max Bielfeldt 6′7” PF JR Peoria Notre Dame - Speaking of Bielfeldt, he turned
in another good performance on Sunday. He was a force on the inside and
around the rim. He continues to improve his mid-range jumpshot and his
range continues to expand further from the basket."

In case you are ever checking Bielfeldt's Rivals page, you will not easily find him with a search, unless you know and use the proper misspelling of his name that Rivals uses...
They use "Biefeldt" instead of the porper "Bielfeldt"....and it now lists Bradley as recruiting him........

also, scout.com has a brand new article on Max.....PM me if you want to know more.......
Here are a few cuts...
"Max Bielfeldt Has Strong Illini Connections"

"The best part of my game is my post play, being in there strong. Just trying to overpower the other guy.
"I play with the Peoria Irish 16's. Our team is pretty good.
Our whole family is fans of the Illini. We go to the games and stuff."
