Tim Bankston killed

What a tragedy. Tim Bankston was a graduate of Chicago Simeon HS in 1984, and lead them to the 1984 Illinois state championship. He was a member of the heralded 1984 Bradley recruiting class, one of the greatest recruiting classes in Bradley's history, along with such stars as Hersey Hawkins, Donald Powell, Jerry Thomas, Greg Jones, Trevor Trimpe, Len Bertolini, and Jerome Childs. Tim played only 1 season as a freshman at Bradley and averaged 2.7 ppg. He left Bradley and transferred to Loyola for the remainder of his college career. I remember him mostly for his athleticism and dunking ability. One of the highlights of that 1984-85 season was Tim's thundering dunk over 7-foot tall Benoit Benjamin, an All-American and 14-year NBA player. Does anyone else remember that dunk that provoked a wild Carver Arena crowd reaction?
