The "good things" thread

As someone most here probably view as a "Negative Nelly," I thought it'd be nice to see what people thought were some positives from last night's game.

I'll start by saying TW had a play in the second half where he tipped a pass, got it at halfcourt, split two guys, made a layup and got fouled. That's the kind of effort I expect from everyone on the team all the time, not just once a game.

That was a good effort....
Donivine was there, as he has been at most every game...
He has to have some interest in BU, maybe he'd want to come and get playing time instantly helping Bradley!

Sam shot the ball well. I was impressed with the way he bounced back after what I thought was his worst game in a BU uniform at MSU.

Also very nice was Theron's ridiculous tip-slam off a missed three. Was awesome.

Also Maniscalculus shot the ball very well. I also thought Dodie played his man pretty well on D.

Positives as I see them right now...

We have a lot of young, talented 4 year players. Our turnover the next few years should be minimal, which lends itself to the potential for great success. Honestly, if we commit to playing freshmen this year I am willing to take my lumps and chalk this up to rebuilding. I think if these 4 year kids stick it out all 4 years, we could finally realize that elusive conference championship.

We have an incoming recruit who's the best post player we've landed out of high school in the last decade (I put him over POB because originally, POB was expected to be a 'project'. JP is not). Be excited about him. I am.

They still sell beer at Carver Arena.

Blago is going to prison.

That's about it.

TW's put back with his LEFT hand was sic!!! EM played as well as a freshman can play and I see a bright future for him. SM shot well and it just reinforces my belief that we need to make sure we put him in position to be very successful in all aspects of the game. He is right now our best shooter and should not be concerned with playing PG.

McCain. It's time to make him #1 PG.

In general, I like what I've seen from a number of the newbies. If AW is a no-go, and Wilkins is to be given a green light, I say start the 5 frosh and let them grow together:

McCain
Norris
Brown
Thompson
Wilkins

I think DC planted screens better last night. Seems we are getting better as a team as there were fewer moving screens called.
