The Good-The Bad- and The Ugly

THE GOOD--- We started off with fairly good defense and built a lead,BUT...we let up late in the first half and they crawled back.
Jones looked good even with 18 shots but he may be trying to do too much by himself.
THE BAD--- Again, no offense at all. Don't our coaches know how to develop any kind of sustained offense? All we do is make slow (and often bad) passes around the perimeter and then force the ball inside to our bigs who can't make shots inside of 5 ft. or turn it over. Why does Geno not like screens either on or away from the ball so we can free up shooters?
Our free throwing is bad. Cummings looks lost. Geno sustitutes too much;players are not in the game long enough to get into the rhythm and flow
of the game. We seem to lose intensity when we fall behind.
THE UGLY---Robert Morris is a very bad basketball team but even though we have better talent, we are not well enough prepared or coached to beat them. Wih our current coaches and AD, we are doomed to witness the demise of Bradley Basketball.

The Good: Over 40% from 3 in the first 2 games, something we've struggled with for quite some time. Trying hard to think of anything else.

The Bad: No inside presence on offense or defense. Way too many fouls. Not having our starting point guard. Bad coaching moves (Allowing Shaw to pick up his 5th foul literally seconds after getting his 4th foul with over 6:00 in the game, switching to zone defense against a team who offense is predicated on 3's, inbounds plays), FT shooting, in game promotions.

The UGLY: No semblance of an offense, again. Poor fundamentals, making the same mistakes over and over and over and over again, leaving guys wide open from 3 point land, Civic Center hot dogs, no student support or adult support for that matter.

When was there in the last several years student support, unless against ISU or any other game the cameras might look there?

Good - For the first time in awhile, the fan base is pretty unified. I seem to be one of the few not ready to clean house.

Bad - Cross' comment basically saying the $8 ticket holders should stay home. No problem, buddy.

Ugly - Donte Thomas' shot arch.

Couldn't agree more. Does this coaching staff know what a backboard is for and if they do then why not make the players use it on layups. A completely lost team w/o any real offense. This might have even been brought up when he was hired that his old team didn't have much offense either. Can't remember for certain.

The Good:
A win is a win
3-pt shooting is better than last year - 38.6%
we're causing a lot of turnovers & getting steals
Bell averaging 5.7 assists - keep it up!

The Bad:
Bradley overall Field Goal% is 10th in the MVC at 37.6%, Aces lead at 60.5%
With all the big bodies & improvement & toughness in the paint, we're getting outrebounded by our 3 low-level opponents
And despite that we were gonna feed the post more, we're still taking a bunch of loooong shots
So far Missouri State is averaging more at home in attendance than Bradley - something that has never happened in any prior season

The Ugly:
Bradley's FT% is 10th in the MVC at 57.8%
We have the worst 3-pt shooting pct allowed - allowing opponents to hit 25-50, 50%!
