If Minny manages to win this game will somebody in the media ever give Jim Molinari credit for building this team?.....;)


Illinois has defeated the Golden Gophers 20 straight times, going back to Feb. 3, 1999 when coach Lon Kruger’s team lost 75-63. Remember them? That was an Illini group that included Lucas Johnson, Victor Chukwudebe, Damir Krupalija, Sergio McClain and Cory Bradford.

That’s a streak that has spanned 10 years, three Illini head coaches, four Minnesota head coaches (Clem Haskins, Dan Monson, Jim Molinari and Tubby Smith).
