113 shots attempted by Texas Tech.....this does not constitute college basketball or good coaching, this is street ball.

Think about it...113 shots attempted in a 40 minute game by just ONE team...nearly one shot every 20 seconds....and the other team also has almost 100 shots attempted, so someone on one of the teams is jacking up a shot about every 10 seconds!!!
Then consider that there were 47 turnovers in the game as well...meaning lots of possessions must have resulted in a shot taken in under 5 seconds!!!

I'd love to see the video of this game. They also shot a ton of free throws. Pretty remarkable stats.

That's awesome. I find it amazing that their high scorer only had 20 points. This is a true case of sharing the load on offense.

It's not even street ball. It is college basketball. It's nothing more than an innovation in the game. Like it or not. It's like the advent a new offensive formation in football or the Princeton Offense.

Successful? Noone's had notable success with it, but not enough evidence to say. Radical? Yes. College basketball? Absolutely.

One hundred shots in a game is alot, but an old friend of mine and a high school coach way ahead of his time by the name of Terry Knapp once told he he wanted his kids to shoot a 100 times a games because if they shoot 50% for the game they would score a 100 points. This was back in the 70's long before this was popular.

not to mention
about half of the points were scored by starters
the other half were all bench players

thats pretty cool too...show
almost all of the bench guys were 15 minutes and under and scoring pretty well too

pretty exciting game...let's see if they can do it against a legit team

Good luck hitting 50% taking a shot every 20 seconds.

One person comes to mind Paul Westhead. He's been preaching and running this type of offense for a long long time.:D
